just about all my guns are Rugers....Ruger firearms always seem to be top quality, very reliable, priced very well and most of all they just work great for me. There customer service is top notch, always very pleased when i talk with them. Ruger makes a gun for just about any need, and they will continue to be my "go-to" firearm maker. Great review on this gun, i have the original cmd, wanted to hear your view on the lightweight
I've had mine since early April. It's awesome. A really unique feature is the titanium feed ramp insert. The trigger on mine was so-so, with lots of creep. I fixed that by stoning the sear and hammer hooks. Now it has that glass rod break.
...finally found mine last weekend at a show in Vero Beach, FL - used - for $750 OTD...evidently not fired or fired very little - came with the original two mags...everything I wanted - beavertail, skeletonized LW trigger, extended thumb safety, dovetailed front and Novak style rear sights, lightweight receiver...my 'perfect' EDC!!!
I would have to agree, if you are looking to carry a 1911 this is probably one of your best options outside of something like a Wilson Combat or Kimber which is sort of a bank breaker and will take you a considerable amount of break-in time.
I am a 1911 fan myself, and own many. I actually looked at the Ruger and was impressed. But decided to wait......maybe I'll purchase one in 2017. Great video and enjoyed it.
same here. Would look nice next to my Sig P938 Blackwood. same color slide and frame. Haven't heard many cons about this one. It'll be between this one and the Springfield TRP
Elton.lanier Freebird123 i have one, run winchester win1911 jhp through it and it will work flawlessly. Easy to carry, accurate as all hell. Its a winner.
Very nice looking 1911. I am thinking my next gun will be a 1911 and I think the Rugers are good value so I will definitely be looking to get some hands on time with one soon. This actually looks very similar to my wife's much more expensive Kimber Ultra Carry minus the laser grips.
I just got a kydex IWB holster for my Sec 9..... and what do you know? It also accommodates my Ruger SR 1911 Commander.... AND perfect for the Springfield RO Compact!!
Hate to say it but the update was that I sold it. As much as I tried I just wasn’t happy with it. Too heavy for carrying and the trigger was not as good as my Remington SR1911.
