I didn't realize you were the one that were on the live stream with KPOP last night! Thanks for stopping by and checking my video out! I will get a driving video put together and will discuss the driving characteristics. I will also do some more in depth videos while I install some of the upgrade parts that were sent along with the kit to show the details of the transmission/steering and overall layout etc. The weather turned to total garbage just recently so I need to make a day trip to get to a place worthy of the maiden run!

I agree - it was pretty sweet but at the same time pretty polarizing for people. It is a little more conservative to go with an option everyone likes!

@@DDMSteveB lol yeah I'd have that same struggle if I was in a dealers situation. It'd be so hard to not try and instantly launch it over my house.

Nah after a while youll need to do a full tear down. Took it down to the bolts. Anything that could come apart was apart and every peice cleaned and polished. Had mine (baja 5t) almost a decade now! But also did some upgrades and a make over at the same time.

💯 agreed! For 1700 at least send something nicer, even though most folks use their own but still, there's much cheaper rcs that have nicer rtr radios.

This was genuinely an unscripted authentic unboxing. Honestly I was questioning doing this whole thing over because seeing the giant hole DHL punched in the box completely put me off track and affected my whole presentation BUT I am always trying to be transparent and original in how I portray what I put out.

I am refreshing the tracking number on my battery shipment every hour! I am really anxious to see how a brand new designed 2WD runs too! Kraken cars have always been a FUN car to drive. My original RTR VEKTA is my most favorite 1/5 to drive.

@@DDMSteveB I am impressed that they went with rebranded Max 5, and not the rebranded max 6 like the DBXL-E. Nice and beefy.

I mean...12S would be real interesting in this thing now that I have driven it some. I think it would handle a huge amount of power.

I have been using CNHL 8200 LiHV batteries, 4S. They have worked extremely well. They don't fit the battery box perfectly but I am able to make them work.

That is excellent! The battery dimensions I list in the video @6:21 The length and width are less important than height as you have a pretty tall amount of space to fit batteries. You can use up to 8S. I found some through CNHL. They are 8200 mah LiHV packs. I needed to use my own connector (I changed out to QS8 on the batteries and speed controller). They are a bit of a tight fit in the battery tray by about 4mm but I made them work.

Very different machines. 2WD vs 4WD? I am fairly certain this will take the top speed crown. It is so lightweight and there is plenty of space for gearing choices. Personal preference but based on looks alone I like the VESLA.

@@jeff9062 There is a gasoline version and a brushless electric version. I did an unbox of the electric model as that is what I received first. A gas model was delivered recently, it was the car used in the Kraken promotional video so not fresh/brand new like this one.
