I do for jumping and technical stuff. But when doing a ride like this with 6 foot drops and a bunch of fast trail riding, I want something I am familiar with. I also have to think about whether this is the way to go. One other experiment I am going to try is higher rise bars to see how that feels and so on. I mentioned this, in writing on the screen, in the 2nd video.
That's the plan. I have some 80mm rise bars on my DJ bike I might try on my Canyon and then decide if 80 is too much. If so I could try 60mm. Right now I have 35mm bars. I saw that episode where he tried tall bars and liked it so he put some on his regular bikes. It certainly helps with jumping and in his case he has more room to do tricks and such. I do think the 15mm stem might be better on a frame with a longer reach. Definitely more to come on that.
