Harris County Public Health’s (HCPH) Mosquito and Vector Control Division (MVCD) confirms that the first mosquito to test positive for West Nile Virus in 2024 has been collected from a trapping site in the City of Houston.
This is the first positive sample in Harris County the agency has seen so far in 2024.
