@@C.kirk1287 Maori are the same like Fijian people, both are Polynesians and have Dark tan skin and Afro curly hair...beautiful makes me wonder if Native American and Pacific people have a common ancestor from thousands of years ago.
watch the 'haka vs sipi tau' vid on youtube. New Zealand vs Samoa war dance before an international rugby match. I would love to see Native Americans react to this.
@@apomtaylor8054 Yep!! 100 plus % AGREED!! UN cannot do anything about the Indeginous people's of West Papua whom have been tortured and killed since the 1960s only cos the US and other Western countries have interest in the world's largest Mine on West Papua soil...West Papuan indeginous people being part of the Pacific...people's of Melanesian decent
The words United Nations is being misused, they cannot look after what they have taken from Indigenous for many years now without Fighting, allow killings, forging Lies, Stealing Property Rights & so it goes on. I agree with Apom Taylor & Chicco Morales they cannot be trusted and so why would Indigenous Peoples of the World want their help, we manage quite well without them, shown to be mistrusted for years.
@@gardenia24sugarfoot.36 actually in some ways their 8interference is insulting. Treating indigenous people like toddlers who are unable to manage their own affairs.
I feel for the bro who dropped his Taiaha .....to represent your culture at the highest level is something we Maori always strive for...so I know deep down he would’ve been spewing inside but the best thing he could ever do is carry on and that in itself speaks volumes of the pride he carries regardless of dropping his taiaha.....I know a lot out there would be cutting him in half but I say nerves can get the best of everyone even in the moment.....beautiful performance!!...and proud to be Maori........Kia kaha 🔥❤️
I don't claim to have any knowledge of the subject but to me it wasn't THAT bad- in a visual sense anyway. It wasn't as if it flew halfway across the room or something really obvious and embarrassing.
I cringed for him because i knew how the bro would have been feeling aswell...... i would have been blown away if he had of disregarded the droped taiaha and drew a patu....... that would have been a powerfull image.
@@HenryOBlock02 not according to our history, some say Egypt, some say Asia, who knows, certainly not historian's,,after all they have Christopher Columbus discovering place's that already has peoples living there, same with James Cook, Abel Tasman,

Kia Ora,
Man as a Miwok who loves Māori people and culture I would’ve loved to see this 🙌🏽❤️I cried watching the Māori people join in on the natives dance of peace! Proud Miwok girl sending love ❤️
Imagine if the Haka was performed against all the Lakota or any Native Men dancers all standing in a line all stoic. Epic and I'd cry from too much beauty from both cultures! ❤
As a proud Polynesian, I grew up 9 years in Utah with Piute and Choctow friends in whom I have adore dearly and I miss them. As usual, Maori Haka's get me all the time. When the Native Americans broke down their dance, I just died, balling, chicken skins, the whole nine... I am at home with Native American people and culture, they hold a sacred and special place in my soul and in my heart that nobody will ever touch. RIP Mathias Harley Munro, my son, of Choctow/Navaho/Pueblo nations, Samoan Tongan Fiji and Chinese decent.
Beautiful and such a great performance done by both cultures. With love and support from a guy that's part Native America, Part Maori, and many other cultures etc.
I’m an old white lady. These videos always bring tears to my eyes. All indigenous arts make me cry. I think of how my people tried to erase this and how beautiful that native peoples are strong enough to give us the finger and keep their traditions alive. I dont deserve to enjoy this but i do.
Shedding a tear knowing the struggles that indigenous tribes throughout the world have experienced each to their own histories. Great respect NATIVES!!
Indigenous Americans crossed the Bering strait to the americas from Asia during the ice age and the polys voyaged from Asia to the Pacific Ocean on canoes

This world would be a better part if all cultures were respected, Not all are in return. The American Indians are too have a great history I would love one day to meet one from America would be a honor.

@@rimaman8681 bro there not related to us they traveled from north Asia between Europe and Asia throughout the Stone age all the way through Russia where they left excess people the Eskimo who are there only distant blood related relatives the Siberian yakuts to the Alaskan ice bridge till they hit the north Americas about 35.000 years ago within the b.c time period and maoris a.k.a Polynesians were of east asian Austronesian decent completely different Gene bro Polynesians never existed in the b.c days bro they were born way later in the 12 to 1300s what I'm trying to say is we never existed together bro we didn't travel the same paths and we were both created by completely different ancestors not the same bro I assure you that and we're not really native indigenous either my bro we are actually Polynesian oceanian it was the white man that classified us as indigenous
The bro leading with the taiha, needs more practice and the movements have to sink together. But very proud Moari is recognised as part of world wide native culture. Thanks to all who help organise this event.
actuals a fact I saw somewhere but Polynesians came to USA before colonisation, we came with women and children to let the native Americans know that we were coming peacefully, we gave fresh fruits & other items I forgot haha but we were allies back then ❤️
If you believe the Bible, in the Old Testament it talks about a city of Babel, where all the brothers families lived together in harmony and wanted to build a tower to the Heavens in order to be closer to God, God however wanted the people to disperse to live and populate all of the earth, and the people ignored him. So God confused their language and collapsed the tower and sent a sand storm to bury the city. This is where the term “babbling” comes from and it’s from this story we can believe that all people of similar races are actually of 1 race of 1 family and that all people that share a similar culture or tradition at one point were part of the same group, so even though that connection might’ve been lost throughout history the tribes people are all connected, just as everyone is connected through the common ancestry of following back to the time of Babel and to the time before of the story of Creation
I wish more people would reintroduce the culture and customs of the Celtic, Germanic tribes being a descendant of those people I’d like to learn to take part in some customary ceremonies. People like to forget that Europe as well as everywhere else had a similar “First Nations” group of tribes that lived in the forests and worshipped their own gods
