@@mikemartin2423 Ed passed away before Neighbor could be built. Cleetus bought that Crown Vic for Ed, his neighbor, to be able to do what Cooper, James, George and others have done. Ed lived accross the street in the early days of the channel. Cleet had most of his neighbors complaining but Ed wanted to see more burnouts and did some himself. He was good people.

Was looking for this comment, they need to set up some air movers blowing away from the stands. Not to blast it all away, but gently push the cloud back so that the drivers and spectators can see a little better. The wheel speed on some of these machines is nuts, can't see shit haha.

Engine bays way more open in that truck so it lets the heat out better compared to the cramped bay of a corvette that just traps heat 👍

@@5lcalais1 Leroy has no engine bay and ruby doesn’t really run a hood so I’m not sure where your theory is coming from. Having way more horsepower probably has something to do with it.

@@Tomford.888. leeroys a overhead cam engine, the plugs go no where near the headers. Even with no hood vette bays are still really tight and the heat still gets trapped in there , stainless headers don't help ,stainless gets hot af , a good heat coating will reduce temps plus maybe some decent heat wrap. That's how I've done the manifolds on my turbo buick v6 as I don't wanna be melting leads all the time. Power doesn't melt leads heat does and more power doesn't create extra heat.

@@ldnwholesale8552 The kit they used is designed for adding a turbo later, but if they added a turbo to the stock drivetrain they'd smoke the transmission before they finished smoking the tires. It'll probably get the power later, once a transmission swap can be done alongside.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest you check to make sure the butterflies and barrel valve are in sync. Sound like the barrel valve is closing when the butterflies open. I worked on and A fuel dragster and we also ran a front engine top fueler that had this same issue.

I'm in the south western suburbs of Melbourne and seen maybe 3 cops in the last 18 months lol vicpole is actually very short staffed ,has been for yrs so they're spread pretty thin atm .

Cleetus you should come to the Reno Air races next year. Its the only event left in the world where planes race side-by side. It would be right up your alley. Also there's a summit racing here that you could visit.

I'd make your 'burnout ally' a qualifier for the skid pad. Can't make it thru the ally you don't get on the pad. Would save having to sit thru the painful attempts made by some on the pad.

That would indeed be a quite good idea, some places around the world has stuff like that run by some of the police departements even... i know australia has a Tropper VUS that goes to the Drag strip every week. Slogan is something like come try your car against a police car here, not on the street. Im sure some Police Deps and the city would pitch in for event like that... throw in a police car doing burnouts.

neighbor is seriously my favorite car you have hands down. then probably donnie. but seriously the way neighbor gets thrown in there is insane, it swings so hard. also it does nothing but see redline at all times lately. that engine is a powerful reliable monster.

People keep saying that, but its the only one on the fleet that gets opened up for regular maintenance to not eat itself. Nothing against neighbor or ford's in general but this is the high performance world there is no free lunch its all trade offs. When they treated it like they do the LSs it destroyed itself, was an expensive lesson for Garret and neighbor has not been on the channel nearly as much since then.

Shoot. That thing will never let them down. They need to get someone else to go with them on RMRW. The event has 12 and 13-sec indexes. Very unlikely to win considering you have to go dang near .00 to win an index class, but it's a workhorse and race weeks are known to bring out awesome weird builds.
