Thanks for the content, your vids are enjoyable to watch. Especially for a hack like me who won’t go on any of the trails at giants that have mandatory jumps/drops. It is a really fun place to ride.
I’ve been really happy with it. The shifting is quick and I like that you can adjust the indexing of each gear independently. I don’t love the ergonomics of the shifting lever but I think they have another lever design out now and the positives outweigh any negatives.
Nice upgrade to the Nomad, did you up the travel or just the girth? And what was with all the people on the sidelines, mechanical city or just amateur hr? I was a little surprised you didn’t send your accomplished gap on Sector 12. Anyways, this was a great showcase of Giants ridge! Was stoked to have this on my feed today.
Thanks! I went 10mm longer on the fork. Made the bike a little slacker but it felt pretty good. Just random mechanicals on the trail I think. Yeah, I don't know what happened with that gap. Got some general confidence issues going on.
@@KrisYahner You made a smart call then; That is when bad shit can happen. Lack of confidence = too much brake or hesitancy = Case or crash.. I’m sure you’ll slide that back in the bag this year yet. For me it rode much better this year than my first attempts last year.. That rock garden after though😩 Yea, that bike looks like a great Bike-park bike now!
That was a great weekend to be up at Giants Ridge! Jeremy and I both rode Techonite for the first time and really grew to like that trail after a few laps, there’s so many tech lines to discover throughout! Appreciate all the 3rd person shots too on Techonite, they’re extra work but worth it!
Thanks! Yeah, it's a fun fast trail with just a couple of things to puzzle over. I think that last rock garden can be ridden a lot faster. Still trying to find the best line through it.
Nice! Looked like a successful day. That was fun to watch! Trails are looking pretty good, the trail maintenance crew is doing a nice job up there. Jess and I are going to try and get up the next week, probably Friday. Wanna see how the jumpline is looking
Kris, it's so good to see your videos on my timeline!! As always, spectacular shooting and editing. Would love a chance to ride with you up there again this summer. Now that I have my Spire built up, it's time to put it through the paces of Techonite and Granite Gorge, push that Fox 38 a bit.
@@KrisYahner It's like riding a chopper. It's so long and so plush that you just point and it goes. I love it ... when I can find places that can make use of it. Pedals decently for something that weighs almost 35 pounds and can take a dual crown fork.
