Just bought an RT Non Turbo, got her running good, shes straight piped and man she sounds amazing. These cars are snappy as hell even without the turbos
nope, no real problems or anything so far! These cars are challenging for a first project car, I'm lucky I have my dad that can help. But if you put your mind to it, im sure it'll be fine, I say go for it! I love the car so far, it feels so planted, it's an awesome driving car 🤘
Nope. I've tuned and datalogged plenty of vehicles with open filters, and that's not the case. It's only sucking hot air when sitting still, when it doesn't matter anyways. As soon as your moving 10-15 mph, when intake temps would matter, the hot air in the engine bay is flushed out, and intake temps rapidly drop close to ambient, and the open filter is getting more air. More air=more fuel, and better performance. The "hot air intake" thing is not true, and I've done my due diligence. 99% of cars I've tuned/datalogged, prove that to be false. Now if your sitting a lot, and it's really hot out, you can get "heat soak" and see intake temps suffer from that, but that would happen open filter or not.
@@1magnit no, street tuning and datalogging only. Provides better real world data, real vehicle load on the engine/trans, and a far more accurate tune.
