More than Spanish or Caribbean, the song, as well as in the lyrics, in some parts refers to Cumbia, which is a Colombian dance which then spread to the rest of Latin America, but also contains rapped, melodic parts, even a cappella, and above all references to Mediterranean and southern Italian rhythms and music. It seems to me that the thing you like least is the fact that it is sung in Italian, apart from the fact that Italian is the language of classical music, and not only of melodrama, but I prefer that each people sing their own songs in their language and don't be so clever as to sing them in English to try to make everyone like them since the song market is predominantly in English. Fortunately, from what I saw, almost everyone likes La Noia, as well as for Angelina's skill, the quality of her voice and her stage presence, but also for the originality of the music, for its arrangement, for the ability to make people move and dance those who listen and for the fact that it is as if they were 3 or 4 different songs grouped into one, with all its changes of "atmosphere" that surprise and captivate.

It is true, not knowing the language you may be confused about the song, I try to explain even if this music is not to your liking, it is just to give you a more complete idea. The song has Italian characteristics of traditional southern Italian dances with a mixed Italian, Latin and Baltic sound. The meaning is this: The song is autobiographical, she says she carries her traumas with her (she lost her father when she was 13 years old, he was a famous Italian singer who had a heart attack during one of his concerts), suffering makes one appreciate the joys more. We need to accept the ups and downs of life and fight boredom as suffering by always staying active, we need to use these moments in a positive way even if only to reflect on our lives and not remain passive to the point of depression, so the cumbia dance of noia(boredom) is like an invitation to a party to always look for something that makes us feel good.

So, let me share some insights: the lyrics are actually about boredom ("La noia" means "The boredom"), it's indeed a song about trying to see the positive side of boredom and try to enjoy it instead of taking it as a negative thing. Hopefully this makes the song a bit more interesting than the usual "summer hit". Regarding Italians caring about Sanremo and not caring much about Eurovision, well, that's true imho 😅 Sanremo is our music festival, we care about it a lot, and the vast majority of Italians who follow Eurovision are just Sanremo's winner fans who root for their singer, just like me 😁 all hail our 🥭Queen!
