You Were beautiful is the sequel of Congratulations. Where the boy sends her an email with a video of her and their relationship. He said that She was Beautiful in the past, she herself, the relationship, the feelings, etc. But then he said "It's enough, I want it no more" just as stated in the lyrics. He also said "Baby I know it's already over" telling that he'll be moving on from now. My days are wondering whether the lyrics are that boy messages in the email. The girl, watching those clips from her past relationship and reading the message.. she went into a regret phase (that's why she sighed) remembering how harsh she is for leaving him hanging, telling that she needs a break, and eventually fall in love with someone else without even give him a notice... that's why he's waiting until he founds out everything in congratulations MV. She kinda regrets that she actually has it all with him... in the past, and maybe she doesn't get it anymore from her recent boyfie, and also with those kinds of works.

Aww Anes, your reactions is so pure 🥺. I actually have to thank you. I knew a couple of songs by Day6, then I found your channel, watched your reactions to Day6 and particularly fell in love with “I wait”. Days after, I randomly found Day6’ album Sunrise on the store (which in itself is miraculous because there is never anything korean there). Since it had “I wait” on the track list, I bought it. Best freaking decision I’ve made this year. That album is full of gems, including She was beautiful and Congratulations. I was so surprised that I loved almost all the songs as much as I Wait. So yeah, thank you Anes, now I’m myday ☺️.

Day6 is really the most underrated JYP artist as well as in kpop. Yet they are the most look up/idol artist of other kpop artists. True! They are the boy version of Mamamoo. Maybe you want to listen to DAY6 Unit (Even of Day) songs, like Landed, Thanks to, and Where The Sea Sleeps Live Studio Performance! (some of it doesn't have a real MV, but more like a studio set) it has this retro style because it mostly depends on the digital sound wonpil created with his keyboard, etc. You can listen to more wonpil vocals in this unit, since the singer only Wonpil and YoungK.
