Chat, really, "Black & White" when "Red Sun" is RIGHT there? Lol kidding. I love "Black & White" but if someone's asking for a *completely* different sound, I would go with "Red Sun", "Jazz Bar", "Wonderland" or even "Locked Inside a Door".... maybe "And There Was No One Left". R&B!Catcher is 🔥👌🏾

i was there at the mcountdown in paris and i was ASTONISHED by their live vocals, like don’t get me wronf i know they’re great vocalists, but to WITNESS IT LIVE😻😻 also i’m seeing them at their own concert for the first time on February 25th i’m so excited

At first glance you could think OOTD is about them being proud and happy with themselves, about confidence. I don't think that is it though. The album is called VersuS VillainS, which makes me think it is not this simple. So I believe this song is meant as a criticism of narcissism, vanity, materialism and also (maybe) the fast fashion industry. "OOTD" stands for "Outfit of the Day" after all, maybe it's about useless instagram influencers posting videos of their outfit of the day, which also promotes fast fashion. The fact that fashion is moving ever faster makes it the most destructive industry to the planet only outdone by the fossil fuel industry. The Aral lake has all but disappeared because of the cotton industry for example. It would fit to the Villain image, and you can see in the MV that they are acting. It is shown in the scene where Yoohyeon and Handong are fighting, but then the camera is off and Handong helps Yoohyeon up. The main reason why I don't think it is about confidence or their own success is the line "Driving on the highway, drunken everyday, do you feel like a monster?" and the album title. That just doesn't fit. And there was the ymenehcra (arch enemy backwards) account posting about touching a crown is dangerous and other cryptic messages before the comeback. It could also be a big and well-hidden F*U to the Kpop industry, like the Nightmare arc probably was. The narcissism and materialism is definitely criticized here, and Dreamcatcher have been criticized a lot themselves because of their rock/metal concept, while other groups have been celebrated for using a guitar riff once in a song. And Handong standing in front of the camera with bruises all over her legs seems to be a comment on the merciless industry as well. The music is highly interesting as well. The Rock is dirty and distorted. The song structure is not what you'd expect at all, for me it is funk rock meets K-Pop. Not their usual spiel, but a very good progression.

All the recommendations are good ones. To add to it. “Whistle, Airplane, Fairytale, Together, Starlight, Some Love and We Are Young” are probably their happiest and most kpop sounding songs as they are the most pop soundy ones. “Can’t get you out of my mind” is their first full English song. Very EDM/synthy “Shatter” is very experimental and the special MV made for it is a must see. Honestly all of their b-sides are bangers depending on your preferences. It's still rock adjacent as it has a funk core instrumental and is a homage to Michael Jackson's song of the same name, but it's definitely a departure from what you've heard so far. You'll find that Dreamcatcher are genre benders and most of their songs are a mixture of different genres. If you wanted some other recommendations, you could add these to your list. Also, all of these have special clips (like performance videos) available except for those noted. Sleep-Walking - Drum & Bass, EDM, Pop Wonderland - R&B/Trap July 7th - Reggae, Ballad And there was no one left - Funk/Retro Pop Silent Night - Rock, Synth-Pop, EDM - No Special Clip, the concert performances for this song are legendary though. Red Sun - Pop/Trap (the genre listed on the fan site is alternative rock but that's crazy talk, imo) Jazz Bar - R&B, Smooth Jazz - No Special clip for this one but there are concert performances. Dear - Ballad - No Special Clip for this one but Jiu wrote this one for InSomnia so it's one of my favorites. There's a showcase version available online for it though. Starlight - Pop, Synthwave, Retro - no Special clip but there are live performances. Shatter - EDM, Rock (Genre pulled from the fan site, EDM I can kind of understand but not rock, I'm honestly not sure how to categorize this, it's very experimental.) Sorry for adding so many, I was trying to give you a decent range of genres but its honestly pretty difficult to narrow down songs. This discography is immaculate which means that the only real deciding factor for how much you like a song is personal preference. If you decide you want to do more after going through some of the recommended b-sides then I'd really just recommend doing albums listens from the beginning to now. Either way, hope this helps.
