You should start from their debut! So Chase me, Good night, Fly high, You & I, What and Piri, they're more rock than their newer songs, but they're so good ❤️
Maison is the song that gave Dreamcatcher their first No. 1 song. It's been 1924 days since Dreamcatcher debuted... I still cry when I see their first win.
100%! They deserved wins long before that but the way they reacted, you can't help but feel it right along with them. The amount of RELEIF was awesome, like a giant weight had been lifted off their shoulders (especially for JiU)! Gotta love the perserverance of this group and each of these ladies by themselves.
In case you didn’t know red sun was choreographed by Sua. I also recommend you to check the special clip of Demian, one of their b-sides in my opinion and choreographed by Sua too
"I have not heard any dreamcatcher b-sides so far" *hears Dami's verse in Red Sun* "Youre joking" welcome to the world of dreamcatcher where the b-sides are sometimes even better than the title track based on taste and every one is a banger. Suggestions for bsides in no real order of rating/preference but rather what comes to mind first: 1. Shatter 2. Whistle 3. Black or White 4. Jazz Bar 5. Silent Night 6. In the Frozen 7. Rising 8. Locked Inside a Door
"Vision" is easily my favorite of the Apocalypse trilogy and probably one of my favorite DC songs full-stop. "Maison" took a while to grow on me and "Bon Voyage" probably will too. Some songs just hit right away while others take time. 🤷♂
Han Dong was still stuck in China when the other six members filmed 'Red Sun'. BUT there is at least one live performance of the song with all seven ladies, called 'Red Sun White Blood' and it is much more recent than when they filmed the original. :)
I love Maison SO. MUCH. when the music video came out, I was like WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS. I understand the just wanting to scream because you love it so much lol. I was lucky enough to see it in concert 2-3 months after it came out and THAT was an experience, oh my god. Best time of my life.
Also if you are looking to suffer 😅 you def need check out their Relay dance to Abracadabra ( the pain ) Taki Taki dance cover and SuA with Seungyeon from CLC dance cover of TADOW...
Dreamcatcher B-sides is a whole other world :D 'Red Sun' is from their first full length album (in which Scream was the title track), and so would suggest other tracks from the same album - [Special Clip] Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) 'SAHARA' Self-made MV - 드림캐쳐 (DREAMCATCHER) - Black Or White | Performance Video (4K) | MOVE RECㅣ딩고뮤직ㅣDingo Music (this one is on a different channel) - Any live performance of 'Jazz Bar' - though not sure if these will be ok for copyright etc. On the other hand, there are also their b-sides on their latest album with OOTD, though there's no music videos yet.
For the next I recommend two of my fave b-sides: "Black or White" from Dingo Music (choreo in the style of Michael Jackson) and "Wind Blows" from Play Color (perfect for an anime series)
Hoooooo boy, you ain't nothing yet when it comes to their B-sides. Dreamcatcher has the best B-side discography in the entire industry, bar none. If you want stuff with videos, go take a look at Black or White, that song is iconic.
I recommend all of their songs. Truly, you will love every and each one of them. If you have to choose, then Jazz Bar, July 7th, Black or White, Wind Blows. It's just few out of many. You should react by album.
i recommend you to watch the dance practice too and tell us your opinion. It’s super cool watch the reaction of dance practices 😊😊, cuz they do it so goodddddd Also, the b-sides, the intros/outros, are amazingggggg 😭
I love their choreography!! I remember watching the 'Good Night' Dance Practice and being blown away by the intro, and the choreo to 'Sleep-Walking'!! I recommend those, as well as their self-made MV for 'Sahara' :))
You'll love all their songs. Their discography is just so incredible. But you Stan them for their personalities! The members are hilarious and so close with one another. The music slaps, but they themselves make you love them even more! Xx
Red Sun has a vlog video that is the exact opposite of the special clip. It's basically everyone loving on Yoohyeon's dog, Pie(Sapphire is her government name), and it's hilarious because they're dressed like witches while playing with a cute puppy. If you every need a pick me up watch that!
"Maison" is part 1 of the Apocalypse trilogy. Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house" or rather "home", and they are singing about everyone's home, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert"). People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!" Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. Although the more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. The bass line is crazy as well. LEEZ and Ollounder (their producers) have done it again, and the members are just brilliant. Respect! "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
Red sun is one of my favorites. There are two more that are like this. Jazz Bar (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0aqjSzBK6wQ.html) and "and there was no one left" (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Nj5RiXNaqzc.html)

I'll try to give you some options to continue with Dreamcatcher, so you could decide what to listen next, hopefully more structured than "all of them". The most obvious songs to listen next is Nightmare series, it's where all stared - Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri, and Breaking Out (the last one is japanese title and an alternative ending to the series, Piri is a regular ending). Alternatively, you can proceed with B-side songs, and ones from Apocalipse era are probably the best. I read/watched many commenters who value Apocalipse B-side songs even more than the title tracks, and you know how good the title songs are. The ones from From Us (Demian, Propose, To. You) are my personal favorite. Or you can listen B-side songs from the last comeback, they are also pretty cool. Then there are 3 fan dedicated songs for Dreamcatcher anniversaries: Full Moon, Over The Sky, and Reason, all of them worth checking out. Even though it doesn't often appear in recommendations, I personally absolutely adore their ballads, R&B and all of their "chill" songs. Emotion, Trust Me, July 7th, Wonderland, And There No One left, To. You (which I've already recommended) and some of my favorite, but they have much more. Also Dreamcatcher made 3 homebrew MVs: Sahara, Break the Wall, and Poison Love, one for each album of Dystopia era. The last one is also celebration of return of Handong. She visited her home city, Wuhan, right when covid started, and stuck there for a year. That's why she's absent in Scream, Boca, and Red Sun (in Scream there was a masked dancer performing her part). Then they have great OST songs. I recommend Shadow (including slow version), performed by Siyeon and Dami, R.o.S.E BLUE (all group except Handong for the reason I mentioned above), Still with you (Sua), and an actual anime opening, Eclipse. They also have plenty of solo songs. But I must warn that they are quite different from their usual title tracks (so adjust your expectations), yet still pretty good to absolutely amazing. Apocalipse: Save Us includes 7 solo songs, one for each member, written and composed mostly by themselves (with help of company producers). Besides, Siyeon wrote and composed Paradise, which I cannot recommend enough; Handong released 2 songs (First Light of Dawn, That Day) on Chinese in China (outside of Dreamcatcher); Dami fully produced and released 3 songs. And also Mayday, one of their earliest songs, which they still regularly perform on concerts up to this day, because it's that good. It's one of their best B-side tracks ever. It's also interesting, because they recorded live performance collaboration with their fans who perform instrumental part, and this is the version that I recommend. Finally, they produce a lot of covers in various genres, not only K-pop, but also western music. Siyeon's covers (starting with Spechless and Betelgeuse) worth cheking out for her incredible vocal, some covers (Monster by JiU and Yoohyeon, NDA, Oh My God, both by Yoohyeon and Dami) feature not only their vocals (you know how they sing) but also very beautiful and artistic set ups, others have original choreo (Copycat and Havana by Sua, Havana also with Dami), or new arrangement having completely different sound (Dessert by Dami). Special mention - Bang Bang Bang featuring probably one of the best Dami's rap. I hope I summarized all of the most important things, but of course they have many more amazing songs.
Some lore..for or at your leisure ... until Maison was presented Dreamcatcher had not won an award from Kpop shows. (from debut 2017 to April 2022). These songs would include Boca Scream Odd Eye, You and I, Deja Vu. Many (or should say all) groups strive for this (award) as peer recognition or validation of excellence. So Maison is rather special (first win} and since it is fresh from your very good reaction to visit this with Dreamcatchers Note 'Maison' (Note is journal type content of the group) And this Note starts before the announcement and they have been in this situation of being nominated only to be a runner-up a few times so high hope had been shelved, so you see their demeanor and antics. There are many more reactions to see the win and here is the link to the one I described: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-93FSJDOV-PM.html Others could probably provide better vids to that era and if you already knew about this then I just had some writing exercise of run-on sentences which I truly can't stop but enjoy doing ..... best and Deukae fighting.
@artoriasoftheabyss1575 I'm not naming names or making direct comparisons. Regardless of who you're a fan of and your musical preferences, I think it's a fairly objective statement that DC's B-sides are of much higher overall quality than SOME other girl group's title tracks. Who those other girl groups are is entirely up to the individual.
you have to listen to all the dreamcatcher songs, including the following B side song : Black Or White, Demian, Sahara, Propose and many more dreamcatcher songs that you should listen to I hope my comment is read and you can react to it in the future STAN Dreamcatcher ❤ STAN Yoohyeon ❤
