This bass is called inward bass and is created by breathing deeply and letting the larynx relax so that it can vibrate. Your imitation was inward vocal fry, that comes out when the larynx muscles tense and the larynx can't work, only the vocal cords. So-So likes to use this vocal fry, but it has nothing to do with the actual inward bass except that both are inward.
ive been really enjoying your beatbox reactions lately, just the right amount of pauses and you actually understand the complexity of things thats going on, idk if you seen DEN VS HISS | Hisstory | #bbu22 Final Round 1 but just as sick as this one
just in case nobody told u already, he isn't doing a normal pf snare he is using a spitsnare/bmg snare. almost every beatboxer uses this one nowadays and it's not too hard to learn just takes a lot of practice since u need to build the needed muscles for that snare in your lips
Great reaction as allways. KI is a beast. Please react to "If Only" by Hiss, River, Alexinho and Collabs. One of the greatest beatboxvideos of all time. Period.
7:45 I know it‘s a bit late, but what you doing there is called ‘inward vocal fry’ :) The ‘Inward bass’ is like inward chest bass. Like saying ‘I am Batman’, no voice, just air (you’ll feel a vibration in the chest) - but inward
I'm loving all these Beatbox breakdowns. You should go through all of the #bbu22 rounds and watch the pair ups, but specifically any/all of DEN and any/all of HISS. Jordox has a very cool different feel to his rounds compared to everyone else too
7:42 yes it's inward but what you are doing is inward vocal fry. he is doing inward bass. i don't know if you know how to do a chest bass but it's pretty much the same thing just outward. so if you can do chest bass, try quickly switching between breathing in and out. that's how i learned it
Im pretty sure he was sick during this recording and it's still that good! You have to see his performances in gbb 2021 whether its his elim or his battle against helium both sick af
@Anthony you have to learn the spit snare, it allows you to do inward sounds without losing the percussive element and it's just a really sharp sound while not being too hard to learn.
So what KI is doing there when he goes so low is called the inward bass For example what u did was a Vocal Fry and the Inward bass is sort of a harder version of the vocal fry on a different spot in the throat. Side note: There are multiple kinds of Inward Basses and KI's is probably the rarest of them all
Apparently, if I remember correctly, Inertia mentioned that he took part in jazz lessons in school, or something music related im not sure, which explains the great singing
It's good to hear someone reacting who comprehends what is happening but is still at an amateur level - that being said, you are genuinely pretty decent at beatbox yourself lol. If you want to imitate the really low notes, you are right in doing it inward, but it sounds like you're making the sound too high in your throat (more like a vocal fry). Try shifting the sound further down the throat. It should feel like its much closer to the base of your neck than under your chin
If u like bass, u should be checking out the big boys. Check out Remix 1/4 round of Beatlands beatbox, and Zekka (AKA papa bananito) 1/4 round of Beatlands beatbox. Views will skyrocket because this is the most recent big challenge. Just trust bro.
king inertia vs den is a must bro For me as a non beatboxer this is musically not as impressive from him as the other stuff. BUT DEN AND INERTIA GAWD DAMN THATS ON SOME OTHER SHIT FROM BOTH
