Red Velvet is a very experimental, versatile group that executes any genre to perfection. From sweet bubbly bops, techno, r & b, to ballads, they can do it all. With close to couple hundred music tracks to listen to, it's hard to pick just a few. Suggest, "Feel My Rhythm" MV and also the "Performance Video". Just as stunning. If you are into classical music, please look at the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra version of FMR also. It made me cry. From the early days, "Be Natural", crazy "Dumb Dumb", serious "One of These Nights". "Monster" and "Naughty" by Irene and Seulgi..... and Wendy, Joy and Seulgi have their incredible solos too. Warning. Once you fall into Red Velvet's rabbit hole, you will not be able to get out.

Main vocalist Wendy is widely considered to be the best female singer out of the entire 3rd and 4th gen of Kpop. I highly recommend Dumb Dumb, Automatic, and "Feel My Rythm."

peek-a-boo is one of red velvet's most iconic MVs, in the scenes you can see the t-shirts of the other pizza boys who came before him and that's why there was a lot of pizza, the more pizza the more pizza boys and finally the pizza boy was peeping at them through the window so that's peek-a-boo

red velvet is hella experimental tbh, even their name stands for the 2 sides they have, "red" for the more fun upbeat music and "velvet" for their more mature sound. i would 100% recommend "one of these nights", "feel my rhythm" and maybe "dumb dumb" to get a good idea of the range of their sound!

You really can't go wrong with Red Velvet, even the B sides are more like A sides. They're amazing vocalists!

They are the most versatile group in Kpop. They’re the reason I started being interested in Kpop. You should dive in and watch “Automatic”, “Be Natural” and listen to their bsides . Best bsides in Kpop.

Red Velvet is my ult group next to Dreamcatcher, haha! Wendy is a vocal goddess, but they're all amazing! Their earlier stuff is Red (bubbly, poppy, upbeat) and Velvet (sensual, rnb, smooth) duality :) they've sorta moved away from that these days but they still have a very THEM sound. :D Bad Boy has an English version and it's REALLY GOOD. Seulgi and Irene also did a subunit that has AWESOME songs but the most notable are Monster and Naughty, and each of them has released solo stuff, 28 Reasons from Seulgi is my favorite (and the MV is so cinematic)! The story behind Peekaboo is basically - they're witches (you can see the night the pizza boy "disappears" it's a full moon), and they're practicing their ritual/murder throughout the month. You can see in the scenes where they're chasing him that they have other pizza uniforms in glass display cases and stacks of pizza boxes on the table implying they've killed A LOT of pizza boys. If you watch the scene where they grab his hand and "help him escape," it's a different girl in each cut, implying that each girl takes turns "rescuing" the pizza boys....but they don't really rescue him, do they? (Notice the missing pizza boy posters all over the phone as well).

Dumb Dumb, Zimzalabim, and their Japanese release SAPPY would be my picks, personally. But honestly, so many of their songs are amazing. Peek-a-boo has been my ringtone since release. 😅

ngl i did not like russian roulette when it first came out but the dance break remains to be one of the best,, bad boy was what made me fall into the red velvet hole bc irene in those outfits woooo she looks so good in every single one of them xD.... the peekaboo dance remains to be one of their most iconic dances with a hand illusion portion,, also joy in the rainbow dress was a win for all the girls and gays lmaoo red velvet lore!! red velvet are named 'red velvet' bc they have 2 different side/sounds,,, the red side is very bubble gum pop, super catchy sounds and bright visuals, while the velvet side is more dark, sultry, and often r&b inspired. you should check out 'really bad boy' and 'zimzalabim' !! rbb combines their red and velvet sides really well IMO and zimzalabim (a red song) has one of my fav 'dance practices' - they collabed with dancers that do a lot of kpop covers as well as an entire gymnasium of background dancers,, 'be natural' is a full on velvet song that i absolutely recommend,, they did that dance in heels most of the time and they consistently have pretty complicated dances,, also taeyong from nct is featured in be natural :]
