@@youraverageretailworker859 Yeah, could be about drugs, it could be about a relationship, whether that be romantic or parental, or it could even about oneself among possibly other things
@@ryapowa well, clearly the intended meaning is drugs. Otherwise the word hit wouldn't be censored. That being said, songs can be taken multiple ways depending on the listener, and there's nothing wrong with that
@@makaiwise4609 Yeah thats essentially what I was saying and that others shouldn't stifle a person's imagination or creativity. But the most broad way to describe the message of this song is the word "abuse" and let others interpret it the way they relate to most
@@HistorysRaven It actually isnt. The song is about his addiction to drugs at the time. He hates everything about them, but loved the feeling of being high
Three Days Grace's older songs, especially from the One-X album were all top notch, and golden. Literally everyone listened to those songs back in the day, they made so many good songs.
Pretty much anything involving Adam was top-notch. Now they don't exist anymore, I was a fanboy to 3DG back in the day but now i can't even name one song from their new albums.
@@alondor8157 a lot of musicians write music in a way where it can be analyzed to have several meanings, like foo fighters my hero, is about ordinary people being heroes, but other people think its about Dave Grohls relationship with Kurt Cobain.
React to Three Days Grace - Never Too Late if we’re staying on the trend of their Mainstream songs. It’s a very positive song speaking on Mental Health.
Never too late is talking about depression and suicide. It’s the the bands way of reaching out to people who are in that kind of funk telling them that even if your life is shit there is always someone who will be there for you.
@@MrsTurtlehugger the music video portrays a woman sexually abused by her father and living with the mental difficulties following, pretty cool if you haven't seen it!
TempestTXLEO yes but if you look it up on genius it will mention the meaning behind the song. I am well aware of the music video I have known of it for quite some time.
My dad is an alcoholic and is currently been given a few months left to live. I hate everything he's done since I can remember but I still love him for those few moments of clarity. Its a hard thing to balance or imagine hating someone and loving them at the same time.
I have two cousins that were addicted to h and one of them was my absolute best friend and my worst enemy and the drugs riped her from not only me but her daughter so I feel this and your not alone ♥️
Man I just saw this 3 years later and my dad was an addicted to anything that get him high or drunk. He left me and my mom and died driving under the influence after he had a fight with his girlfriend when I was 13. Fuckin hurts to think about how he just gave up on us. I’ll never get a chance to ask him why and maybe forgive him.
I love both.. Adam and Matt on vocals.. I'm finally over being mad at Adam for leaving.. and Matt did an amazing job picking up the pieces when he came in..
They don't. It's only the music video. On the radio, hell, even as a Rock Band DLC, it's perfectly allowed. Back in the early 2000s and early 2010s, VEVO based music channels were very notorious for some of this stupidest and pointless censoring. Hell, in Nickelback's song "Rockstar" they censored him saying the word "drugs" and I think "pills". Even censored "ass" and "asshole". Radio version: Fully allowed everything. Now some groups, release uncensored versions now. I know Avenged Sevenfold did this with some of their songs (like Nightmare). (Yes, they do censor all of Nightmare's f-bombs on the radio).
Should react to the band Alter Bridge, they made some beautiful songs such as Blackbird (it has one of the best guitar solo of all time, according to many people) and Open your Eyes! They also made songs for workout such as Metalingus, Ties that Bind and My Champion... This last one has an uplifting message that you'd love!
@@grimguy7905 I interpret it as when you're stuck in a toxic relationship, one that you love and hate, you're constantly going back to that person for a "hit" - the toxicity of the relationship has become like a drug. But I suppose it could be alluding to weed, too. To each their own :)
I absolutely love your videos, man. You're hitting all of my favorite artists lately, and I love watching your first experience with them, because it reminds me of my first listens. Never. Ever. stop this series. Bless you, dude.
Man, I love watching him react to songs for the first time that were so prevalent in my upbringing. @LayedBakDFR I love this whole series of rock music you have been doing, to see you get into the songs that I love is awesome.
I know I'm just commenting on old videos at this point, but bro, @LayedBakDFR your channel is seriously highlighting the difference in rock/metal and hip-hop for me, energetically. I grew up on both, but for sure my torment plays out in all the metal, and my King shit comes out from the hip-hop. Such a difference, and it feels obvious but this shit be hitting lately. Keep putting out videos so we can all relive this music and appreciate it in new light my guy
Please react to Wings of a Butterfly - HIM I love them so much! Their a Finnish band and I feel like they should be more known! They've got their own genre called Love Metal. Pleaseeee!
A song that might get overlooked from their album One X is called "Get Out Alive" it has a real sense of despair and its incredible it can provoke something like that in you. Also.. It drops.. Hard... Stretch ya neck and take some aspirin. You might bang your head my good man 🙏
i'm not sure if anyone will see this, but whatever the song was about, i connect with it about my parents not being in my life, and even though we are so different, and there's so many skeletons between us, but i still miss what i didn't have.
One of the things I love the most about Adam Gontier's songwriting is his use of metaphors and dual meanings. A lot of his songs take an item or object and personify it. This song is an excellent example of that
You can’t hate everything about a person but once you see their fallacious nature you begin to think that most of their personality is fake and you hate everything about em.
Check out saliva "pride" While listening imagine this song being played in front of members of our military. Saliva came over to South Korea and played this for us for free- 1200 soldiers with me at the show I saw and it was insane
Honestly dont listen to three days grace after adam leaves but it would be great if you could review Never too late or honestly anything form the first two albums
