The first reading of the "Restoring Citizenship Removed By Citizenship (Western Samoa) Act 1982 Bill". The bill would restore the right to New Zealand citizenship for people from Western Samoa who were born between 1924 and 1949.

Ima full blooded kiwi. I dont want to be rude but why NZ. We all have land to live in. I wish that everybody stay in there own country and work their land . Why NZ? We struggle as it is. Everybody welcome but i hate when they told my govenment what to do. I love my country so why dont they aliens love theirs.

This is really in relation to when Samoa was a New Zealand territory. That's part of why we have a stromg relationship with Samoa. To be honest, they're only talking about those who were born between 1924 and 1948 and had their NZ citizenship removed, so it's not really a mass migration we're talking about. The impacted Samoans are very old now, and it's almost more of a symbolic gesture.

I agree we all have lands to live in, but why NZ move in to our lands from 1924 to 1948? Did our ancestors want them to come to Samoa and took control of our nation? We were all migrated from different nations, for example, European from Europe migrated to NZ, same as Australia, European from Europe came to Australia which Australia privately owned by Aboriginal people, same as NZ own by Maori people only
