Question for ya: why does the tire suck? I came from a pint as my first board, have loved the GT-S only ever had stock tires. What do you like/suggest?
Dope! I heard it's pretty much just the power at speed that's noticably different than the GT... So like steeper hills on the trails, and more stability at top speed!
Once you start riding the GTS for a while and then you get back on the GT it can sometimes be pretty scary because with the GTS you like to lean more into that acceleration and with the GT you try to do the same thing you do with the GTS and the GT just knows dives right away it’s got way more torque at first. It doesn’t feel that crazy at the beginning but once you get up to like 5 miles an hour and throw all your weight forward the board gets you up to like 25 miles an hour and about three seconds compared to the GT. It’s really cool
@@michaelrohrbaugh1527 The tire sucks at 20 psi but is a total game changer if you lower the psi to unleash its full potential. Forget about how they fill it up at the factory - that's not how it's meant to be. I had my doubts too, but I decided to give it a go and boy, was I in for a treat! With the psi lowered to 10-12 psi for the trail,it was a blast! I couldn't get enough of the thrill and the stability of the tire was out of this world. Trust me, you won't regret it!
It might just be me but the performance treaded feels like a heavy bowling ball with no edge. Don’t get me wrong, it’s capable but the compound and shape are not the greatest.
try lowering your PSI. On average, people should ride with about 10% of their body weight for their PSI. For instance, if your body weight is 140 pounds, your PSI should be around 14 pounds on the street and around 7% on trails which is around 9.8 PSI. When the PSI is too high, you will feel like you're riding on a hard bowling ball with no edge that usually means that your psi is way too high. And that can be true for any tire that you buy especially the Enduro bc it is very narrow asf. Try Lowering the PSI to about 10% of your body weight on the street and 7% on trails will help you to absorb the shock from rocks and other obstacles. It will give you better Edge for sure it’s night and day.
In a way I agree, the only downside to a beefier tire is having more rolling resistance due to the deeper treads or weight. I do however love how Onewheel is now rolling out updates for this board, making it a true flagship 🙌
