@@official.electricdreams Lol I feel like this had been debated a million times. Both have their places, EUCs are more so meant for going from a to b like a road bike. OWs are more exploratory vehicles like a skateboard. Yes there is some crossover, I've seen people do trails and tricks on EUCs and many ppl comute to work on OWs but predominantly OWs are slower and more relaxed where as EUCs are faster and used more purposefully.
Coming up on 6300 miles on my 4206 XR, best purchase I've made in 32 years on this earth. Since it's so mod-friendly it might still be better than the GT (CBXR was a game changer)
@@bobthebuilderhd6835 yeh but he clearly doesnt know that because he thinks onewheel are the perfect adventure wheel when the range is pitiful... ride to the trail entrance and go home since you'll be out of juice
@@freshlycharged the EUC concept seems appealing but do you ever worry about falling smack face first? Since your body is straight forward? At least on the Onewheel or electric skateboard I feel like if I fall I am positioned sideways and have a chance to roll out.
@@fazer2747 I go faster and farther on the EUC compared to the Onewheel and feel much more safe and confident doing so. My biggest injuries on any of the PEVs that I review (Onewheel, EUC, Ebike, Escooter) all come from the Onewheel. I worry about injury all the time on the Onewheel... almost never on the EUC.
@@freshlycharged thanks for the reply Jimmy! I have watched a lot of your videos so I appreciate the feedback from someone who has done a ton of research on the subject. I watched your video on the collar bone injury stats re: Onewheel injuries. It’s crazy how prevalent that specific injury is! I hear you about the EUC benefits being faster, longer range, etc so that makes sense. I saw a doctor yesterday at Stanford riding one in scrubs!
Learning to ride on an XR is for sure easier! I learned to ride on a pint and when I tried an XR I was struck by how much more stable it felt. Now that I know hoe to ride, though, I prefer the feel of the pint. I have a video documenting my learning process on the pint if anyone is interested. Great video as always, Jesse!
I put a 5.5 inch tire on my XR with a JW battery and it's amazing. Feels like riding a pint for the carvability but I still get the bigger footpads and 30+ mile range
Glad to see you finally on an Electric Unicycle 😊 i’ve been riding mine for 4 years and it’s the most exhilarating feeling! Can’t wait to hear about your ride experience from a OW perspective.
I just ordered the GT (I own an XR currently, but will be selling it). The Pint X with its upgrade in power and range makes the Pint EXTRA appealing to own alongside my GT as a loaner board. Good little review, and amazing video work. Also, I REALLY appreciate you giving good cautionary warning about respecting pushback. I LOVE onewheels, but they CAN be very dangerous, and so many younguns ride these things crazy fast, sometimes even without helmets (which is dumb), and I think it can give the wrong message to new people getting into it if they don't do due diligence about safety.
Sold my GT for 2 Pint X's after finding out FM sabotaged the BMS in the GT and making the proprietary tire. We get all the old accessories on the pint x
After trying Christophs One Wheel a little while back, I think about the feeling of standing on it and leaning into the motion to ride around at least once a month randomly haha They're so unique, nothing is quite like it. Skating, or snowboarding is similar, but still sooooooo different!
I love my new Pint X. I love how carvey it is and you learn to ride and get stable pretty quickly. In two weeks I have no worries going full speed and carving around. I’ve seen the other reviews saying that it’s more zippy and accelerates faster than an XR. I can’t verify that though because I’ve never owned an XR.
It took me 56 seconds in to subscribe having never seen your videos before. That editing is next level goddamn man. No idea what kind of stuff your produce but I'm here for the ride now lmao.
My Pint X is dead after only 3 months. A major design flaw within the battery housing has caused a cable to break with in turn fried the BMS. I’m starting wonder if Future Motion really knows what they’re doing.
I own the OG pint. And I upgraded the battery.. Jw battery helped me out so I’m happy with that and excited too shred for many more miles thanks too Jim and the team. 🤘🏼I salute you JW batteries #futuremotion #onewheel #pint
Circling back to this video. I had to sell my GT for financial reasons a couple months ago, but now considering getting a used pint X. I’m moving into a van and having something I can fit in a large backpack is appealing
i fear One Wheel are making the same mistakes Boosted did: keeping the current fans happy and supplying nothing for new customers. It could be the best thing ever, but is the pintX cheap enough to get new people to try it? (i think it needs to be half the current price)
Honestly I've never had a one wheel, but I'm really wanting a gx as my first. The speed seems way faster than what I'd normally go (maybe around 18-20 instead of upwards 30), however I know if I get one, gx would be my go to. The pint and pintx just seem to entry level for me
I just received a Pint X a week or so ago and love it, I have ton's of PEV's to choose from, the Pint certainly has it's place in my lineup, for now, it more than suits my needs, I might try the GT next year but I'm in no hurry.
Love the intro :) would be cool to see BTS of this...as to one wheel I always wanted one but the price was putting me off - now after seeing this video I've decided I'm selling my motorbike and buying a onewheel lol :) I'll wait for Your GT review to decide which one to buy ... ;)
I love EUC’s, tried to rent a Pint X, could not get it delivered in time for the Turkey trot. EUC’s will be the only way to trot this year!! I really wanted to show off the new Pint X, but from CT to CA requires a 4 business ship time. So King Song 18 XL for the win
Sick review the transitions were a bit distracting there were so many it was overwhelming lol very sick and well done just a bit much. Thanks for the review!
If I lived in a small town or suburbs I would get it but NYC traffic is too condensed, chaotic, and unpredictable to be on a one wheel device. To many variables
ive seem on forums that ppl have problems with the foot sensor, and have to glue or shave the onewheel to get it to work properly. customer service doesn't even do anything, they won't send replacements. I was going to buy one until I read about this.
Very nice video, Jesse! About a year ago, someone broke into my truck and stole my Pint. It's taken me this long to replace it. Bought me a Pint X and I'm so happy to be back in the game now!
I don't have a Onewheel yet but I'm very interested in purchasing one... I have 2 options now: purchase an XR used already (2.500km) at 900€ + some extra accessories... OR purchase a new PintX for 1.400€. I generally prefer way more to take something brand new instead of a used one, but in this case I really don't know if it's worth to pay more or spend less just to understand what I would do in the future... Please any comment/suggest is welcome!!!
My suggestion would be to either buy the new Pint S, or buy a used Pint X and then add the wider footpads and new tire yourself. A stock Pint X doesn’t ride nearly as well as with the upgrades (which is essentially all the Pint S is). You can also find good deals on used XRs as well, but it can be hard knowing its condition or how the previous owner treated it before you.
Loved this. Your XR video helped me convince the wife I needed an XR. Been floating all year thanks to you. Loved the editing and your take on the PintX! Can't wait for the GT video. Be safe!
Great vid man! I always get stoked when I see you have a new video. I think I'm going to get a OneWheel but will have to look at how well they work with fat guys.
I have the Pint X and it's an uncomfortable wobbly ride. Ride on a rough street, the tiny narrow tire tilts left and right. And if you take a raised curb laterally, you immediately tilt 45 degrees to the side and then back level again. The XR and even the GT are easiest to learn on, I don't know why they push the Pints for beginners. I rented the XR and liked it, but because of this company's monopoly and paid reviews, not buying from them again. I will keep the Pint X though, because it can handle smooth pavement.
Oh I agree with you (and they’ve absolutely never paid me to review things), I’d check out tire swap options from the float life, they can make a huge ride difference. Also the wider footpad option you can get makes a huge difference in comfort. They really need a wide front sensor option.
What are those gray shoes? Are those Vivo Gobis? Btw, I’m the guy riding in the background at 9:35 - 9:45 ! The Pint X outlasted my XR that day about 15 miles to 12 on the XR (you always get a lot less on trails).
Still watching but man at 0:55 I'm thinking...his wife's going to have his hide if he breaks something while putting this video together. Also, loved that drone shot at 1:11 (very clean shot)....I'm thinking you were playing around with the RotoBrush 2.0 in the beginning of this video (been playing with it myself lately)..works really well! You make those edits look easy. Be safe! Keep up the great work!
