Great video Leon. I have 25.4 cm foot the other 26cm I took your advice on this video and picked up the 7.5 size liner, it definitely feels super tight, have yours broken in?
i am 34 ive been blading since i was 10 Leon was the first person i was starstruck seeing when I went too the 1st (What Year Is It?) at woodward PA. I was definately awkward by saying "Hey I know You!" lol But he is such a chill happy down too earth dude he acted like no one was ever star struck by him. From his older sections and how he was always pushing the limits of what you can do with rollerblades, Im just glad we have people like this too represent rollerblading.
I can't believe that I actually saw Leon that day at Anderson Park while walking my dog. But unfortunately I didn't recognize him, or else I would have liked to chat a bit with him.
8:18 That was a ridiculous landing. High level hamstring/groin pull avoidance techniques. You're looking pretty good after a year. It's tough to expose yourself like that too.
Fam lol You said you look at your skates EVERY day but haven’t put them on?! PUT YOUR SKATES BACK ON BRO! nothing better in the world (outside of my family) Than BLADING
Im 31 am also a girl i used to skate with razors but i never got good at it like this man cause of fear and i got tired of falling i had quit going to skateparks at age 24
@@gdust6579 You should try again ... On small, fun stuff.. but start jogging first, otherwise you will break something due to low Bone Density after stopping skating for so long. I officially stopped skating regularly when I was about 19, but the last time I skated and even laced a decent sized handrail was last year and it was amazing. Only ate shins badly once.
I've been blading since the 90s and never heard of you till now. Your really good still dude for your age. I'm 38 as well but had fusion on my back yrs ago and now struggling with bs carpel tunnel issues so when i session I can't do much. I mean I can but won't risk falling. Your in shape moving like that still married and with kids I can imagine. I got blades and hit the park for a few hrs usually depressed because I want to clear the pyramid with a 540 but won't risk it. Best thing I can do is a back side royal and if I'm feeling ballsy a top a top side maybe. Your awesome dude, I wish I could grind and move like that still. I like how the woodpushers took off and gave you the park! Lol. Take care dude, ✌.
Wow, this was a very unusual video, seeing Leon himself! Thank you for posting this. It just so happens that I was watching the MushroomBlading's epic "Imagine Blade Shun" video 2 days ago, with some sick aggressive tricks by Leon. It's particularly interesting to see the comparison! Would be so great to see another video from the same spot but on a Wizard setup!
I was wondering about the supportiveness of this boot in comparison to the Wizard boot. Even though it seems a purely aggressive boot, a big chunk of Mushroom Blading videos were featuring Todd in an different aggressive boot on NR90. So I imagine it could also work with PR76/80, right? Or is it just the Todd's unreal physical abilities that let him pull off all those tricks with such a boot?
I wore the PR72 on my Blue 908s. The boot was the littlest bit too squishy for me to trust certain moves, deeper carving, gazelles and lions are a bit sketchy, however it was still totally doable. I haven't ridden the 909 much, just tried a friend's pair on for 10 min, but they seemed stiff enough that you could put some Wizards on and have a better time than on the 908s.
Love seeing you skate in any setup. Great to hear your thoughts over your skating! I’m 39 so it’s great to see someone still so passionate about rolling in my age demographic.
Hello Leon! I have the same foot size... my left is 26.5cm and right goes up to 27cm. I bought some Rollerblade Solo US size 8.5 (26.5cm) and my right toe is pushing agains the top of the skate which causes a pain. Would intuition 26.5 solve this or should I go for a half size bigger? Thanks, always pleasure watching you skating
Interesting video, very boring at the beginning because of only a few cuts. but the content is bangers, well and cleanly executed tricks. the end is excellent, that's exactly how it should be, quick and crisp! anyway i enjoyed
Your sizing comments helped me! Mine fit snug and I feel like I wanna go up a size. I won’t know till I take them out but then I can’t return them. I guess I have to take the plunge!
Man, I'm still pretty much brand new to skating. I got inspired to start skating because of some aggressive skating clips I saw. Took a break through winter, just listened to some of Leon's comments about basically how zen his usual style of skating is, and now I'm wanting to just go flow mode for a while with self-teaching lol. The "freeze and not move" comment made me think; not focusing on grinding and staying constantly balanced made me want more big wheel action in my life. Leon is a legend.
I loved this Leon. Even when you’re messing up you have nice style. The tricks on the shorter ledge were great. Let’s go for a clumsy aggressive skate next time you’re in town.
Would it be possible to put UFS mounts with 90mm or 100mm wheels on these skates?! Anyone know if it would be a decent setup? Currently ordered gawds franky morales and was going to do something similar ...
Hey Leon! Its always to see so stylish skaters like u! Few months i will be 40 but last year i started again after 20+ years. :) I watched "few" vid's from u but in this i loved the 7:10+ moves! I will try THEM! :D
You've got skills man. I've been skating for 20+ years. I skate aggressive frames and Wizard frames and don't looks as smooth as you on either of them.
Como eu queria morar nesse país, só para conseguir comprar um patins decente e lindo como esse, aqui no Brasil é só 5/6 vezes mais caro ;/ difícil continuar com um esporte tão caro em um momento tão difícil economicamente...
