First Solo Sail across Lake Huron 

Nice sail to Sanilac. We are in Bayfield as well and have done the trip a few times. Cant wait for spring!

Congratulations. Sam would tell you the period of the waves is shorter on the lakes than the ocean. But there is no explaining crossing the Pacific on a 23 footer. I sail a B26 on Lake Michigan, used to sail it on Huron. Huron is easier. 😂

Also, shoot down to Port Huron. The riverside Marina on the black river always has room and it’s a pretty cool town.

I sail solo in Huron a lot. Ease the main, furl the Genoa fall off the wind a touch take your time. It makes it much more relaxing. Fair winds and following seas.
