When this video was recorded, the 8 had been extended to run to the general hospital. In this case I personally chose not to film to that area as it follows the same route direction as the 17 and city red 3 which I already have covered numerous times.
Some interesting trivia however is that a key difference in before and after the route change is that the city red 8 was diverted to serve the Kingsland market in St Marys, as you will see around the 7:20 mark where instead of heading straight onwards into above bar, it turns left before following the same route path to Vincent's Walk as Bluestar's route 18.
