Lovely. I must get a Tenkara rod. I used to do a similar thing, using a few sections of a whip, small maggot, pinkie, or insect life foraged from the bank. It would be nice to use a "real one".
I have a little Tenkara rod, bought from a seller on the Isle of Man from memory? I have caught a good few little Rudd on it from a farm pond, they readily take flies :) edit: Esoteric Tackle, Douglas, Isle of Man
Rivers still in flood here in Oxfordshire, not sure what state they'll be in.....Thames Water have spent much of the last 4-5 months pumping raw sewage into them. It'll be a miracle if there are any fish still alive in them.
Cool. During the summer of 2022, my wife and I visited the Devon area (Colyton and Seaton in particular). I just wondered if you were near there. Thanks!
