No, you need 12 volt to make it run. USB is only 5 volt.

As usb is only 5 volts it won't operate to it's full potential. So converting the socket to a usb isn't worth it

@@dilmangemore123 35ah means 1 amp draw in 35 hours. As the fan draws less than 0.5 amps the battery will theoretically work for around twice the 35ah = 70-80 hours. Then again you should never use more than 1/2 of its capacity so I would say 35:2=17,5 hours would be the max. That is if the battery is in like new condition. If it's an old batter you can cut this numbers in half again. Hope this makes sense to you.

Italjohn13 And that's how many hours with the car engine off, right? I think electronics use up less battery power when engine is on because of the alternator.
