I actually think AD’s anger was more directed at LeBron than Ham…but he’d never admit nor would LeMedia. LeBron knew AD had 32 going into 4th and knew he needed to have a huge 4th to grab that spotlight back.

100% it never appears that Denver is confused. They have a game plan, they stick to it. The Lakers game plan backfires on them EVEN WHEN IT'S WORKING! They doubled Jokic like crazy and it worked bringing them up by 20. But the coaching staff is still telling the team to double Jokic when the Nuggets are the most balanced offensive team in the league. it is weird to me at this point in lebron and ADs career they brought in a rookie coach last season, im sure they both feel like they dont have to really listen to him and it makes it weird for ham to coach since some of these players grew up watching lebron and never even heard of this ham dude until he was their coach

I’ll be fair, he instilled a toughness and a never give up mentality in the team last year but that team also had a bunch of guys fighting for their nba lives. Before and after the trade deadline. All of them got contracts. All of them are still in the league. Pat Bev, Lonnie Walker, Troy brown Jr, Thomas Bryant, Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schröeder, Austin Reaves, d-lo, rui, vando. Every single one of them got a new contract this off-season. So you can make an argument that the individual players on the team had more urgency and motivation last year. Even AD being hurt for the two previous seasons. I’ve said it all year. Ham would be perfect for a young team. All that motivational bullshit would work on young guys. Not on vets that need a coach that gives them an advantage to go against the best teams and coaches in the league.

It's not how you start, but it's how you finish my guy. When the money is on the line, those stats you just listed don't translate into wins. He is eaten alive on the defensive end of the court during the closing minutes of games.
