I love all of those guys but this is good for the NBA. The key is for the media to cover these young guys and prop them up. It hurts that these young guys play in small markets but the media owes it to the fans to feature these teams more and not just talk about the guys that are over the hill
thank you!!! if theres a couple people who has the clout, gravitas, credibiliy to call out and critisize lebron or anything related to this generations nba players and nba current issues its MJ and Magic. mind you, i know MJ hardly ever chimes in on anything well only when he is asked questions. those two, mj and magic arent in with the klutch narratives.
@@tyrellleach1846 lol just like the lakers in the bubble beat the same exact overrated heat team that was 6th seed that year for the most meaningless least competitive championship in nba history. LeBron has destroyed this laker franchise , lakers fans need to pray that he retires or bronny gets drafted somewhere else so he goes there to play with his son since clearly he doesn’t care about winning, which is what the lakers franchise is known for.
Nick moving the goal posts... First the Lakers will beat Denver... after all... they will be getting them in the first round before lefraud is worn out... they lose in 5... now they would have went to the conference finals if only they were on the other side of the bracket. Nick is pathetic
I can't believe he actually said that. Really???? They would never join forces??? Get the hell outta here!! That's all this generation of players wants to do. Good riddance.
Steph played with the less talent in his career KD the only superstar he played with and that was for 3 years only and KD and Bron been swept with superteams Curry is clearly more competitive
@@peezydabeatmonster8112 Steph flew out to recruit KD after blowing a 3-1 Finals lead. That's the direct opposite of being competitive. I know people love to hate on KD for that move but Steph was just as guilty.
He's not more wrong than anyone else. He's just the loudest. Brou was wrong 3 times in 3 weeks, picking against the chiefs, but you'll forget about that.
@@jetsettech8804more people need to realize this! I love Brou, but he was unbearable during the NFL season. He just doesn’t know football enough to be arguing about Purdy in the way he was. He was all over the place because he moved the goal post every time he was wrong. My favorite was “I never said Purdy was great!” 2 weeks after making an MVP case for him 😂
Man Broussard tap dancing talking bout these dudes too competitive I couldn’t c them teaming up 🤦🏾♂️😂.. that’s bogus as hell .. them nggaz is the KINGS of teaming up, come on brou
@@kbob9625Jordan played til he was 40. That knee sat him down. On the flip side tho, he only did it to show them how to win. Lebron is on that juice. And you can tell when he doesn't take it, because his body breaks down like MJ's did naturally. Lol
@@younghighflyers145 which i think is dumb. why play the same teams twice a year but some teams once every 4 years.. I get the divisions but never really liked it
@@rickeyjones729 like stuff like this is so corny 😂 to wait for the Goat to get old to poke fun at him. They don’t realize it just speaks to the man’s greatness
@@tyronbrewer141the GOAT is 61. MJ. Still not old. Age is perspective and subjective. But he’s also not Bronny Sr. AKA LeBALCO 💊💉- which is who these people are poking fun at. He’s not even top 5. Only arguable GOATS are MJ, Kareem, Wilt and Magic.
@@only1adonislebalco? Sure. Do you remember when MJ's trainer was in some heat for giving his clients PEDs but it got swept under the rug? Probably not.
Yeah people in disbelief when Kareem was doing this stuff in the 80s too. Pretty sure Karl Malone was in the late 90s-early 2000s as well. Every once in a while you get a guy who is made of adamantium.
@@THE_BEAR_JEWI wish we could just enjoy it instead of making everything a vs MJ or a ring count debate. Stop making Lebron a daily topic, and just celebrate what he’s doing. Make him a topic when something is accomplished to a record set or broken, and focus on the rest of the league. Otherwise people just love to hate
@@CedricQuarteyyea the media has pushed LeBron vs mj and trying to constantly tear down mj its a shame when they disrespect the older generation just appreciate it all but definitely the ones that paved the way, Minnesota vs Denver is the matchup I can't wait to see
We're in a weird time where players careers are lasting much longer than they used to so we're anticipating greatness for much longer and the eras are lasting much longer but yes, this is the end of an era. Grateful to have witnessed it.
@@chazhopkins4686 because when healthy Khawi is a good defender which the suns are lacking. And plus he’s younger than Durant and they’re typically injured about the same
How did LBJ change the Math? Like he said Jordan was 35. Kareem was 40. Malone was 40 i think i know for fact 39. Reggie was like 37. Stockton was 39 or 40. Ewing was late 30s so was Dream. Come on now!!!
The Lakers roster has been vastly overrated by the media. Besides LeBron and AD, would any other player even start on the top 3 seeds in the West? No. Do they have any bench production? No. The roster is overrated, and because the media is unwilling to admit that, they default to blaming the coach. Darvin Ham is not a goo coach, don’t get me wrong but the Lakers wouldn’t beat Denver even if they had Phil Jackson coaching.
If you look at the players that left AFTER Lebron became a Laker, most of them left to become the 1 or 2 option elsewhere. The problem is that because Lebron is a 3 who swallows the role of the point, the 2 and 3, those players don't get to develop properly. They get all the blame, though. What os the point of being a point guard if the 3 is going to assume all of the passing and scoring??? The reason that it worked in Chicago with Scottie Pippen was he wasn't trying or demanding to be the primary scorer as well as ball handler. Kukoc, Armstrong, Hodges, Kerr, Paxon, and Harper were able to function and get their shots. Lebron has had waaaaayyyyyy more quality players around him than MJ and has done less with.
Who? Lonzo hurt, kuzma on the wizards doing nothing, bi just got swept, Caruso is good but not a foundational pieces and didn’t make the playoff ms and zubac was a rookie who barely hit playing time and found a tour within the clippers. So again who??
@davidwitt7522 .. Brandon Ingram, Caldwell Pope, Josh Hart. I only counted the guards but the bigs also left to be valuable elsewhere annnnnnd the same pattern can be said for Miami and Cleveland. And jist because Ingram got swept, that doesn't change the fact that he left and is the primary scorer!!!!! The problem with the members of the International Church of BronBron, is that instead of chasing the unattainable and creatively trying to alter the narrative of why he isn't the GOAT, y'all should just be happy that he is an all time great!!!
The NBA changed the math because just like the NFL, every NBA game is played like an all-star game, so players can play longer. I like how they always show baseball players fighting who can't fight at all. How about showing two guys in the NHL going toe to toe that can actually fight.
My god the perfect segment: “The Changing of the Guard” as a compliment to club superstar. Costumes, a horn, EVERYTHING. KW declaring “Today is a new day, the dawning of a new age. Time is our sovereign, and with one generation comes another. In the name of the Committee, protectors of the Tapestry of Greatness and Lords of the Hill, I do declare the changing of the guard!” *horns, doves, light*
Probably the worst statement ever. "These guys are so competitive i dont see them ever teaming up" lmao 2 of em are the epitome of that ring chaser mentality. What a joke
The fact that magic is surprised speaks to the greatness of all these players. At there age most greats where done or not good anymore but the expectation for these three is still championship or at least deep playoff run or it wasn’t good enough. I can’t remember the last time we judged any older players like this. Magic Larry and mike got old and everybody noticed and said well there old now but if they were younger ect. But we think steph and kd suppose to compete til they 40 and lebron til he 45 smh. He could be 60 and people going be like he didn’t get it done 😂😂😂
Honestly, I don't know how load management is supposed to help in a situation like the Lakers. When the Spurs did it, I got it, they had a plethora of young guys that needed minutes and it gave older guys like Duncan a breather when needed, teams like the Clippers and Lakers do it because there are times their stars just don't wanna go to work that night. The fact is, the Spurs are the ONLY team that has benefitted from load management. The Clippers have flat out thrown rings away in the last 4 years just because of this. Look at that team, they should've at the very least made at least 1 finals, the Lakers shouldn't be jocking for a final playoff spot every year when they have that roster. The reason teams like Denver win is because they have a roster of guys that actually put the team first. Jamal Murray isn't hitting those game winners if he's load managing 10-15 games a year, I promise you that.
KD on the Mavs is a guaranteed ring if they’re healthy. Dallas is in the top 3 or 4 teams with 6’6 wings who can’t hit a jump shot. You think they wouldn’t be substantially better with a 6’11 wing putting up 20-25 at over 50%?
The NFL wants divisional games to count, so they always put them towards the end of the schedule. But the chiefs are ALWAYS resting starters the last week of the season. So to make it more interesting, I think they put Chiefs vs Chargers week one. It's harbaugh's first game. Would be a big draw with the LA market. I think that's the one
They left out Jrue Holiday, Mike Conley, and Al Horford. I think the key there is these older veterans are playing on teams led by younger stars. I think that's a model some of these older stars might want to look at. I think of all the older players KD might be in the best position because D Book is still one of the young guns and Beal is still young(although his body has been breaking down like an older player) The issue is will one of these older players take a complimentary role to a young star? It's very tough to admit that you can no longer carry a franchise. I keep hearing about "Get Bron Help" or "Get Steph Help" or "Get KD Help" but Jokic is winning with what he has, Ant is winning with what he has, SGA is winning with what he has, etc...... Bron, Steph, and KD command a lot of a team's cap and then if they have a co-star such as Klay, D Book, or AD, that player will also command a huge chunk of the cap.... If you get them a 3rd star level player, that's 3 guys taking 90% of the available cap. So what will the other 12 look like? I'm not complaining about what players make, i am pro labor all the way, these players deserve that money and market rate salaries. They are who the fans are paying to watch perform. It's just the reality of a cap system... One way to "possibly" mitigate this is by an older star like say Bron or Steph, identifying a young star or team that can afford to pay him market rate while the younger guys are still being paid under market rate..... However, even though you are now the highest paid player, enter the team with less ego and a willingness to allow the younger star to be team leader(and the head coach by the way) Sort of how Rudy Gobert is doing in Minnesota. I think right now he is likely the highest paid player and a several time DOPY. He could have gone there and acted like a big shot but instead he is allowing the younger Edwards to emerge as team leader. Even the higher paid KAT has done that. That's the path i see for a Steph or Bron. We just saw a team with Steph, Klay, Dray, and CP3 not even make the playoffs and a team with Kawhi, PG, Harden, and Russ get knocked out in the 1st rd.... Bron and AD knocked out in the 1st rd. Dame and Giannis knocked out in the 1st rd(i understand Giannis didn't play and Dame only played 1 or 2 games) KD, D Book, and Beal knocked out in the 1st rd... All the younger teams will be even stronger next season and more confident. All returning most of their teammates and retaining their head coaches. The Kings and Pelicans should be better next season. Maybe The Rockets emerge? Ja returns and makes The Grizzlies a threat? Maybe Wemby and The Spurs vastly improve? Are we sure Bron, Steph, Kawhi, and KD can overcome this changing of the guard?
Magic can say what he want too. KD back to the warriors, with Klay, CP, and Klay taking a pay cut to go after a championship with the team they have now.
Lebron would team up with them in a heartbeat if he thinks they have anything left in the tank... he will team up with anyone if it eliminates competition and makes his path easier.
The fact that Chris said Katie is competing with LeBron. More than Steph is hilarious since he's nowhere even near to Steph's level and would be damn near nothing without him 😂😂
Memphis with a healthy Ja and Marcus Smart will contend next year. Bunch of caveats with this but Ja, Ant Man, Jalen Brunson Wemby, SGA and others are the new face of the league
Magic didn't take a shot, and Nick reacted to it in the way Magic meant it-- that is is hella surprising ALL of them are out already (Steph didn't quite make it in, since play-in games are not considered play off games.) It IS surprising enough to make the observation that Magic made. The title of this clip is click bait, obviously.
I think if bron joins GSW or Suns those teams are gonna win a chip. Bron and KD or Bron, Steph, and Draymond are def contenders. Now, it will definitely hurt their legacies but they'd get a ring.
OKC would blitz the Lakers in 5 or 6. OKC has the best player and 4 of the best 6 players. Arguably 5 of the best 7. The have more playmaking, more shooting, better perimeter defense and the interior defense is quite close (considering the Lakers have AD). OKC has far more energy and excels in the clutch. For the Lakers to win AD has to be by far the best player in the series. 80/20 OKC's favor.
