With all due respect to George Mikan, Kevin Durant is both a better and greater player than him. The only thing Mikan has more of is rings and that was at a time when two leagues you probably never even heard of had to merge to form the NBA. He played less than half the games KD did, had a significantly lower Win Share, was far less efficient, and doesn't have nearly as many accolades as KD....except for those rings, which thanks to guys like Barkley, Baylor, and Malone we know don't equal greatness, so WTF?
Suns traded away their future to get Beal. That's where they really messed up. Not much they can do with the team they got now. Can't trade Beal; Not going to trade Booker; Trade Durant for youth? KD is overrated. The guy hardly plays D and he's 7 ft. tall and even that year he was finally going to show he can carry a team he broke down. He deferred to Russ and Kyrie and Harden. He's a fragile player when he has to be the face of the team. Steph was the face of the Warriors -- not Durant -- no matter how much Skip Bayless tried to push that agenda.

KD has always been overrated. Is he a really good player? Yes, but he has never been one of the greats. He doesn't have the talent or mentality to be great. It's always about KD, he doesn't make the rest of the team better. The greats always elevate the rest of the team around them whatever it takes.
