If Mahomes gets to Superbowl and loses he will consider it a failed season because he couldn't get the 3 peat. Whereas if Stroud gets to the AFC Championship game and loses, he will consider it a successful season because he did better than last season. These two guys are miles apart, maybe someday we can compare the two, just not today.

People keep talking about Houston like they’re going to win the superbowl. There’s a better chance that they drop off. They won’t have a last place schedule this year and nobody is going to be surprised by them anymore.
They have a record setting QB. Last year their Oline was riddled with injuries, they had zero run game and still made a run. CJ now is used to the speed of the game, Tank will be back! The Oline will be healthy, they got Mixon now at RB and they now have 3 top tier receivers! Defense was pretty good last year and on top of already having a decent defense, they upgraded at LB with Azeez, you now have a beast of a Dline! You have to double Will, you have to double Danielle and then you still have Autry at DT!!! Lassiter is going to be a solid #2 CB playing opposite of Stingley Ryans is one of the best defensive minds in the game, Booby is one of the best OCs. Your thought holds no merit. This is an elite team!
I was never very high on Stroud. I’m still not. Now that DC’s have a year of tape on him and know the Texans aren’t just a joke like they have been in the last 4 years they are going to pick him apart. I think he regresses this year significantly. He will still have around 23 or 24 tds and 4000 yards passing. But these days that’s very average. He didn’t have the best rookie season anyone has ever seen either. Herbert’s rookie year was better. Better numbers. It’s that simple. Stroud had a good rookie year yes but it was comparable Baker Mayfield and Mac Jones’s rookie year. No really it is. Put CJ’s numbers down beside Mayfield and Jones’s rookie numbers and you will see what I’m talking about.

Especially, he took a bad team to the playoffs, when mahomes came to chiefs, chiefs were already a good team. Hes not on pats level but he can be #2 behind mahomes.
Nobody cares we gonna see this season week by week. Offense line was switched around historically and didn’t miss a step we got next guy up mentality across the board. We’ve only ever been a quarterback away from being a top team. Nobody got surprised last year as Texans fans we knew what we was missing and we only added better pieces. Why would he not believe his quarterback is the best. Cj is one of the QBs I constantly hear tom talk about. He knows he has all the intangibles.
Cj goes out and within one play we all are begging to have someone else come in and even that backup couldn’t consistently be a good backup when needed so cj comes back and rides out the wins needed to finish off the jags end of season demise
Texans getting hunter and diggs and mixon on top of an upgraded linebacker core. If they stay healthy, theyre already better than the chiefs team but its the coaching team that puts the chiefs over the top.
U put Pat in the exact same situation CJ had his rookie year they don’t make playoffs, Pat is a great QB but he literally walked into a cake situation while CJ walked right into Hell lol
Ur acting like pat did just good in his first year but nope that's no the case. Instead he lead his offense one of the greatest offenses of all time. And u really think a qb that won a superbowl with mvs justin watson starting wouldn't have made the playoffs with a team that has nico Collins and tank Dell. Let me ask this question then. Are u sure if cj was in mahomes situation he would have lead a #1 offense in 2022 or lead a historically good offense in 2018?
@@cmacd1901 yes I am, CJ took a horrible team with a 1st year coach and 1st year OC and won 10 games and a playoff, u put CJ with Reed and that team he would have multiple SB rings too. I didn’t say Pat wasn’t good I’m saying he came into one of the best situations KC was already winning and making Playoffs Houston won less than 12 games in 3 years and had 3 HC in that time period
