JJ, Pelinka, and others explicitly said Lebron didn't have anything to do with it. they aren't stupid, they know that the average person will think Lebron had something to do with it no matter what they say so if he really did I don't think he would go out of his way to lie about it like he did. I would be much more willing to believe Lebron was pulling strings if JJ coaching was just out of the blue, but he's been looking at coaching jobs long before the podcast with Lebron. The celtics wanted him as an assistant coach like a year ago, the hornets offered him head coaching job...plenty of teams wanted JJ to coach before him and Lebron became podcast buddies.
