every time I see Nick "wright" talk about Jalen hurts he's always saying "he's trash, overrated, below average" bro is so annoying he was just an mvp runner up and because he had a bad year with a terrible coordinator everyone thinks he's bad now, which is stupid
Wright has always been anti-Hurts... but as a Philly fan, last season created a lot of doubt on Hurts across the board. Everything went backwards in 20-23, even intangibles. Just a year before, Hurts exuded confidence, was a guy that if you needed a 4th qtr drive, he always got it. Fast forward to 2023 and he couldn't dig the team out of any level of adversity. There are genuine, serious questions as to which Hurts we'll see in 2024. Of course, I'm pulling for him... but the unprecedented collapse in 2023 was not an illusion. Regarding Hurts' Super Bowl... overall, he was excellent. But late in the game, backed up deep in their own territory, he couldn't get a first down and the subsequent punt was returned back to the Eagles red zone and the game was lost.
There was no concern with Hurts from someone who is serious. The questions lie with the coaches..that is why the whole team on both sides went backwards
Last season Hurts was playing with the 31st ranked Pass & Scoring Defenses.... Hurts was the reason we even won 11 games because any other QB would have completely failed being held back that trash Defense we employed last year
Nick doesn’t believe 95% of the shit he says it’s literally for clicks and views he says anything to get the audience pissed off and tuned in to get more money. He knows what he’s doing it’s on purpose all media sports shows do this to get views and clicks that’s it.😂
This is pure Jalen Hurts hate by Nick Wright. To imply that it's possible that Jalen Hurts is not good is just ridiculous lmao. This is where being a Chiefs fanboy goes wrong 😂 There's absolutely no excuse whatsoever to say these types of things about him. Same thing he does to Josh and Purdy & it's all in support of uplifting Mahomes, but like, he's already the best QB. Why does he need to uplift him if he's already the best ? My theory on this honestly is that he knows deep down that Pat isn't on the level of Brady yet and may never get there, so in service of trying to convince others that he is, you gotta knock down everyone around him, uplift him, and find ways to knock down Brady. It's absolutely disgusting, but that's my take, Julian Also, saying Hurts can't make excuses ? When has he ever made excuses lmao. If we wanna talk about excuses, how about Mahomes blaming the refs in the Bills game constantly in the Toney offsides scenario ? He blamed the ref for taking away the Kelce score that came on that play instead of acknowledging that Toney jumped offsides. THAT is an excuse. When has Hurts ever made that type of excuse 🤣🤣🤣
I like how they put the whole failure of the Eagles team at the end of the year on Jalen hurts when outside of like the terrible coaching and play Khols you could put 75% of the losses on the defense easily especially players like James Bradberry, who didn’t tackle barely hit anybody didn’t do their jobsaying that Jalen hurts was terrible. He was the reason they won so many games by pushing through in the end with all the comebacks.
Honestly, this is the only way I can watch Nick talk about the Eagles…with your astute analysis interrupting all his BS. He's clearly cosplaying Skip Bayless. But at least Skip acknowledges his bias. Nick tries to hide his hand. As you said…he’s disingenuous and misleading. Its all about getting engagement from Eagles fans and it’s a tired act 🙄
how so? hes never had a losing season as a QB? he brought his team to the playoffs every year hes been starting. what are you talking about? hes won way more than Josh Allen thats for sure. there are not 15 QBs better than Jalen Hurts ypu must be stupid. 2 or 3 I could agree with but 15 is just blasphemy.
@@whattodolou173no, I didn't . You don't have an actual point. At best, meaning absolutely no higher than 15. Despite having the best supporting cast in the league. Hurts should get up thank God everyday for Howie Roseman.
When Nick said “the chiefs have the greatest locker room in history” I thought the exact same thing in my head and was laughing out loud once u said ur response about its nothing but criminals in there😂😂
I'm a Pack fan, but from Philly area. I can't get over the fact they called Howard Eskin the godfather lol. Thanks Jul for making that clear right away.
@JWLSports getting smacked by the Tampa Bay is the equivalent of missing the playoffs. Another game Hurts didn't play great and lead the team to a win that they should have got
I would like Nick to come to Philadelphia for our first home game and sit with the fans. Put his face on the big screen, and see if he sticks to his opinion. 😂
I would like to thank you for making this video. This is hands down the most ridiculous take by Nick Wright and the biggest confirmation that he is indeed an Eagles hater. This is the same guy that said last season that even though he didn't believe Jalen was the MVP, when he was leading the race for a SECOND straight year, that he was the most clutch player in the league. But now he's questioning if Jalen is even good. Insanity.
While I do agree with everything you say, the fact that you talk about this subject so passionately...I'm guessing you're an Eagles fan (I'm personally a Packers fan)?
Haha when I make a bills video they call me a bills fan. A packers video, I’m a packers fan. 😂 Watch my most recent bills or packers video. And you’ll see the passion. I’m just a passionate person.
Hurts has had top O Lines, top WRs, top running game and a top Defence. And they were terrible at the end of the year, how would be a top QB? 1 good season doesn’t make u a top QB
he hasnt has 1 good season tho hes been good his whole career. 2021 he had a rookie Devonta Smith and Jalen Reagor and still went 9-8 and made the playoffs. In 2022 when they get AJ he becomes a MVP Candidate and wouldve won it if he didnt get hurt. Last year he had bad coaching the defense was literally ranked 31st last season and so was the passing game. They ran the most vanilla offense last year even a high school team couldve stopped that offense. One down year doesnt make you a bad QB. Dont forget he was the reason the Eagles won those 11 ga,es last year. If Mariota plays the Eagles only win 6 games last year.
Now I have an even bigger reason to root against Kansas City. I would love to see this guy eat crow. He is so obnoxious because Kansas City has won the last two Super Bowls. He is just obnoxious.
@JWLSports you are right you didn't steal anything, you just made sure that when I thought I was watching them I ended up watching you instead. Also after that that you tried to pretend like you're just as good as them plus you added a couple other people you're trying to compare yourself to like your hot s***. You've got 6K subscribers and then you're trying to tell me you're better than McAfee first things first and who else was it that you mentioned? I'm like Nick I want a quarterback to throw the football, if you actually paying attention find our threat our threat right now is# 1 Burrow he's a pocket passer and accurate at that. Dudes a real threat of watch football all my life I know these things.#2 Allen he can run it like no other and the moment you think he's going to run it he'll throw it deep. Watch tape sometime I know where the real threats are dude's almost unicorn for the fact that he can run over defensive lineman. He still acceptable to injury and that's why I'm not choosing him.
@@JWLSports another thing I can say without a doubt is I guarantee my quarterback will be there at game 16, the QBs you guys listed are a question mark to their teams and the entire facility.
The census of alot of NFL fans is that hurts is mediocre. Eagles won 4 games before hurts was the starter. it’s insane to me how people think this guy sucks
That is not the consensus. He is literally number 1 in NFL players sales. Fans don’t pay for someone they think is mediocre 😂😂😂. It’s just haters are loud on social media and appear to be many even though it’s not. As we know, money talks!
@@lordvonzus6746 hows he not great mans never had a losing season in the NFL and made a Super Bowl. If yall can call Burrow and Purdy great for making a Super Bowl then the same can be said for Hurts as well then because what has Burrow done besides get hurt? Hurts is constantly in the conversation for being an MVP. Just because he doesnt have a rocket arm doesnt mean hes not a great QB the best thing Hurts has is his winning mentality because thats all he does. Just because Jalen had a down year with literally the worst OC in the league dont mean hes not a great QB.
Just curious, do you have any videos criticizing or breaking down Shady McCoys' ridiculous takes?? I just ran across your page and if this is your lane I'm sure you have some videos on some of his rhetoric.
Apparently Mahomes has thrown a million interceptions in the superbowl. Hyperbole. He does have the most passing touchdowns in Super Bowl overtime history.
The best point that was brought up was Jalen having a different OC every single year of his career. I think Jalen has played pretty good despite that huge handicap. If that was not true I would believe the Super Bowl is an outlier and that without the “tush push” they would have been mediocre. Although to some degree I believe they perfected a cheat code with that play and without it they probably wouldn’t won half the games they did.
That’s not accurate. I mean distilling their success down to one play is kind of silly. It’s an advantage. But only because of Hurts and the oline. No other team has been able to do it like them.
@@JWLSports ya I agree that no other team does it as good as the eagles but I’m not talking about being able to duplicate it I’m talking about being able to stop it. I call it a “cheat code” in the sense that teams can’t stop it and without it the eagles really don’t win a lot of their games. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t use it. They should use it but reality says if they hadn’t figured it out they don’t win some of those games. Ya it’s just one play but it’s a play that gives them a score or first down within 3 yards every time.
If Jalen Hurts doesn’t play well this year, that will be 3 bad years out of 4. What will the Jalen Stans be saying then? I’m rooting for him, but he’s gone if he can’t handle a blitz this year
@@JWLSports really? So last year was a good year to you? Melted down when blitzed for 7 straight games. He was bad his first year starting, bad last year, that’s 2 out of 3 smh
I get having a conversation if he’s great or not but come on there there’s no way there are 14 quarterbacks better than hurts. Also if we’re gonna dock him for situation, pretty sure Mahomes ended up playing for a great offensive coach and having a great tight end when he first came in the league so let’s be fair
More than that. Also had Hill, Sammy Watkins when he was still pretty good, Hardman when he was still very young and blazing fast, and an emerging Kareem Hunt. Like, they called themselves the "Legion of Zoom" for a reason
@@jctslice that’s true, but they’ve had more success in recent years without those guys. But from Mahomes, his first year as a starter dude had fifty touchdowns 5000 yards because of that roster.
@@ChiefKT98 no, that was still Gronk at the time, but we all pretty much knew even before Mahomes took over that Kelce was pretty good. Same with Hill and Kareem Hunt
Apparently Mahomes has thrown a million interceptions in the superbowl. Hyperbole, because he’s thrown 5 int’s in superbowls. He does have the most passing touchdowns in Super Bowl overtime history.
Jalen had one good year in terms of passing. He’s been terrible every other year. Besides his rookie year he’s had 2 years of being a bad passer make is plausible and reasonable to question if he is top 15
@@JWLSports Jalen hurts passing stats outside of rookie season (6 TD 4 Int 77.6 Passer Rating) include: his best passing season (22 TD 6 Int 101.5 Passer Rating), a mediocre at best (16 TD 9 Int 87.2 Passer Rating) and his worst passing season (23 TD 15 Int 89.1 Passer Rating). Excluding his best passing season [(which by the way was worse than Dak’s rookie season (23 TD 4 Int 104.9) Passer Rating and CJ Stroud’s rookie season (23 TD 5 Int 100.8 Passer Rating)] his stats are: 39 TD 26 Int 88.15 Passer Rating. Are you going to tell me that’s good, mediocre or bad?!
Here is an interesting stat. Eagles lost 3 games last year by 3 TD's in each game... Dallas, Niners, TB in playoffs. Guess how many INT's Hurts threw? ZERO. That is an extremely odd statistic. Indirectly padding stats?
Not comparing the two, but Nick wright talks like this all the time about Brock Purdy and does it to give views I don’t participate in the nick wright BS. Jalen hurts is not a below or average QB
@JWLSports no one said all the time dumb ass.. some get arrested for being at the wrong place at the wrong time.. or due to a simple argument with their woman.. some get arrested due to clear self defense
Jalen hurts version of a “step back”, with all new, inexperienced coordinators. ALL better numbers than last year (aside from more INTs) 11-6 record. Pro bowl. Playoffs. MVP front runner through 11 weeks. That’s his “step back” 😂😂😂
Hurts played out of his mind in 2022 with a loaded roster on both ends of the ball and very weak schedule. Last year the D broke down and the offense had to turn it up and they collapsed. They are on their 3rd O Coordinator and I don't think Hurts likes the system. Hurts still struggles actually reading defenses. I can see him being a backup in a few years and his schtick might get old in Philly.
@JWLSports saying Hurts is the only reason they make it to the superbowl is a lazy takes and just wrong... they were loaded with 2 top 10 WRs a monster oline a and a great defense and Hurts was playing well but far from the only reason he wasn't even the main reason
Its clips of him the year we won the superbowl always putting us down spreading lies and hate..if i ever see nick wright in person he getting socked im dead ass serious 🦅 🦅
@@JWLSports Oh, someone thinks they have a vocabulary. If you want me to get into the true portion of this. You are a very dishonest in your assessment. Hurts was on a down year last year and his performance showed it. If you cannot accept that then you are just a lost and delusional. You are the one who brought Mahomes into a discussion about Hurts. Your Whataboutism doesn't address the core tenant that Hurts really has had one good year and two mediocre years as the QB of the Eagles. I am not saying that he is bad quarterback, but he has fallen off. He can do better this year and will be seen in a different light if that happens. You are also being dishonest on the impact of that fumble in the Super Bowl. You write it off as just another turnover when it may well have cost the Eagles the Championship. Hurts will have crushing thoughts about that turnover for the rest of his life. And all you can say is with your little keyboard warrior fingers is "Well, Mahomes has made some mistakes in his FOUR SUPER BOWLS!" Pretty lame but is indicative of a short-sighted approach.
You kinda come off as a jaded eagles fan in this one. And for all your nick Wright hate (and some is deff deserved) not all of these points are crazy. The tush push succeeds in Philly and nowhere else not because of Jalen hurts. But because of the 1st ballot HoFer at center who just retired. Jalen also owes a ton of his success to the eagles front office setting him up great. You even called out nick for consistency of his takes, but you use the argument of what should Jalen do without weapons, but josh allen should live up to carrying his in a separate video. Takes don't math man
😂 Jalen Hurts is a massive reason for it as well. What are you talking about? And why would I be jaded? About what? 😂😂😂 And Where did I say Josh should live up to carrying his weapons? You are greatly confused.
@@JWLSports Im not claiming Jalen is awful, hes not. however its absolutely possible to view him as a systems guy who is dependent on those around him. I also referred to josh allen in the way that you call him elite, and said he will have to elevate the roster around him of no names, which if jalen is also elite, he should be capable of doing also, but you defended the opposite saying if he has subpar talent he shouldnt be expected to do excellent things. Im saying you have to keep your take consistent.
@@JWLSports I know right it’s actually wild at this point. He’s very entertaining and like what you said in a video, I enjoy listening and watching this show the most of all and Colin’s takes but, his knowledge and expertise is just sooo off. I wonder why people like Bucky and DJ do not get the views like this show or more the great content creators who bring better insight? Maybe all in time, maybe when I’m 80 or 90 it will be much different.
Because people just don’t find them as entertaining. They don’t relate enough to the audience. It’s all about connection. Some people just connect with an audience more easily. Also luck! There is just so much luck involved I don’t care what anyone says.
@@JWLSports yep you are totally right. Like you and have talked about before. I like both a lot but, lean towards the C and Os. Your show is the one I’m always checking into before the others now. Not sure if you saw my comment on a different video but, let me know when you need some production people. Haha I’ll work for free until you blow up big time hahaha Keep doing big things man!!
As much as a hate nicks takes on the eagles your not making it better by trying to trash our coach.... especially boosting a OC that made his name from calling plays That came from the Head Coaches Playbook!! For 2 years!!!! Stichen used sirianni playbook both years he was here
Youre missing the point on Eskin. Whether he’s the godfather or if people cares what he says is irrelevant. As you know Eskin is a sideline reporter and employee of the Eagles. He has a 2018 SB ring. So when he speaks on the Eagles its not just a blowhard radio has been talking…its an employee of the team and thats why its interesting
😂 come on. His statement wasn’t even accurate as Carson Wentz forced himself out of Philly. Philly didn’t push Carson out. And Eskin had to walk it back. If you think Howie is telling Eskin anything of substance I don’t know what to tell you.
@@jaywilliams3022 mahomes, burrow, Allen, lamar, stafford, I like Herbert and stroud over him but that could just be me and then take your pick between him and Goff, I would say Lawrence and Jordan love as well but I would have to see more first

Nick Wright is always been an evil hater so much so that even after they won, the Super Bowl never gave them love and respect and Trey Burton had to go on his show and call him out Patrick Mahomes like complete trash and Nick Wright will still be on his knees in front of him in the locker room
😂😂😂😂😂😂I guess how it’s done in KC. Pretty wild how there’s zero mention of all of the offseason problems. But if Aaron Rodgers farts it’s cold red and there’s a 15 minute segment 4 days that week about the smell of it and how the players or coaching staff feel about it.
Yall love that Superbowl loss!!! His whole career is based on one game! He was carried that entire playoff run and the only game he played well in yall loss!!!
@@JWLSportswe can look at the stats of the two games before the Superbowl you know...he was definitely carried. He did play well in the Superbowl, but discrediting the fumble is laughable. It led directly to six points that Patrick Mahomes didn't have to score! You can acknowledge that he played well but had a very costly fumble! Why is that hard for some people to say? 😂
I should have commented after the video, I as I watch, but it’s funny how everyone just doesn’t include the fact, HE WAS HURT ALL YEAR! He barely got up during the cowboys game after a hit. He had a knee brace all year! He was handicapped all season without his best attribute, HIS LEGS!!! Not a single media pundit has mentioned that when they talk about his “step back”. If he’s healthy this season he will DOMINATE
1. Hurts did not have the second best Super Bowl of all time. Steve Young threw for six TDs and Joe Montana threw for five before they both came out in the fourth quarter. 2. Purdy and Jimmy G faced KC when they had the No. 2 and No. 7 defense. Jalen Hurts faced KC when their defense was ranked No. 16.
@@JWLSports You're right, there's a lot more to being a QB than passing TDs, and it's a statistical fact that Young and Montana were better than Hurts in the Super Bowl. 1994 Steve Young: 24/36, 325 YDS, 6 TDs, 0 turnovers, 134.8 QB Rating, 5 rushes for 49 yards 1989 Joe Montana: 22/29, 297 YDs, 5 TDs, 0 turnovers, 147.6 QB Rating, 2 rushes for 15 yards It seems like the only thing you care about are rushing stats. Yes, Hurts had 70 yards and three TDs, but Young and Montana were better in every other facet of the game.
So ask him why his favorite QB barely beat him😂 he just want our fan base to chime in on his low rated show I miss Chris calling him a weirdo all the time😂
I agree with you if he said maybe he is godfather of sports radio in Philly ahh maybe he hold more weight to me there I still dont know about godfather but for me when comes toneagles in Philly ray diddy has been the guy for a long time but ya idk nick wright I used to like his takes now i think he is becoming more n more a dope wjen comes to Philly sports like most he is an undercover hater
@Cali-Green-Birds96 but he's not and athlete what's your point? Hurts has had 1 good year and people are saying he's elite. Logical people that's knows history have a wait and see approach. I don't want Hurts to fail, but I'm not gonna ignore the facts and history either.
Literally Hurts gets blamed even when shit ain't his fault so try that with another QB like Trash Prescott,Kirk Cousins or Josh Allen.... Hurts had over 370yds in the SB and was blamed for the loss when in reality he had a WR(Quez) drop a Wide open TD,his ST allowed the longest Punt return in SB History and his Defense only forced 4 incompletions the entire game. Meanwhile QB's like Dak get praised for 4 Ints in his last 2 playoff games🤣🤦
Your comment labeling an entire locker room as a bunch of criminals is a huge red flag. This is not the same as saying a football team is slow or even a bunch of bums. If you were going to try to have a career in media I suggest you don't make statements of that nature. The shock value you think you may be getting won't equate to the loss of viewership. Intelligent critical thinkers understand a willingness to place that label on a group of individuals over isolated individual incidents brings into question your opinions and their validity. Good luck with your streaming career.
1. Clearly you don’t understand jokes. 2. Nowhere did I label an entire locker room as a bunch of criminals. I countered Nick’s hyperbolic statement about KC essentially being a utopia with a literal fact that multiple players this offseason in KC have been arrested and charged with serious crimes. 🤷♂️ Nothing I did was for shock value. But thanks for the unsolicited advice about a career in sports media. 😂
@@JWLSports That's incorrect sir. You paused the video and called the Kansas City locker room a bunch of criminals and then replayed with no further commentary. I spent a lot of time living in the fringes of society where a lot of these athletes come from originally and understand the transition they have to make. Even if what you said was a joke it was a cheap shot and classless not because you made it but because of no commentary and the delivery. You didn't smile you dropped it deadpan. I think you calling it a joke is revisionist history and trying to gloss over your true feeling. You need to work on keeping that shielded from your media personality. I promise you I wasn't the only person that heard that the way you delivered it and found it off putting.
I said it has criminals. Which is a true statement. Not that the entire locker room is. That’s a huge difference. And someone who is “off put” by my commentary doesn’t need to watch my channel.
