@@GregsKitchen Why did you put gravy on it? should of used some of its juices from the pan. The way to cook those things is pre-heat oven to 500 degrees F, slide in roast and go 6 minutes per pound then shut off oven and leave it closed for 2 hours, don't open the oven for 2 hours greg, thats medium everytime.
Thanks for your video on the Meater! We just got one; I cooked a 👩🍳😘 perfect rib eye steak on my first try, and now am going to try the eye round roast following your explanation. Will let you know how it comes out. Happy Thanksgiving!
Wow! That did turn out awesome Greg! I learned to cook mine in those "cooking bags" for in the oven... works for me and keep the juices in ... makes awesome gravy too! Something else for you to try.... love ya Greg!😘
Ay Grego, Great video mate. Love the meat gagit. Could'a use'ed that a few year's ago myself. Love ya vid's mate. been watching ya for year's. Keep it up mate. Cheer's 🍻
Thank you Greg sharing your roast and veggies. Everything looks delicious. But I like my meat well done. Thank you for sharing your meat thermometer. You have a great evening.
I just set the oven to 350 Fahrenheit then add water until there's about a 1/4 inch in the roaster. Then plop the meat, potatoes, carrots and onions in. Then leave it there for an hour (20 minutes per pound). Most people recommend 375F but I'd rather do it at a lower temperature. A ham portion is similar just no veggies and less water.
Johnny is trying to evolve in sophistication and character. With all those wacky sound effects and double entendres, there is no hope. Piss funny GregO!
my only recommendation would be to put in all in a pot in the oven vs an open tray. especially for leaner cuts that dry out easily. you can pull the potatoes out and stick them under the broiler after if you want them crispy
Those solid woolies roasts are ok, but what you really want to look for is the Woolworths Simply Roast Beef Marinated In A Classic Herb Mix. They are the ones that are rolled up in the netting material, and have a nice amount of fat running through them which melts throughout the meat during cooking. Both coles and woolies also have the premade Yorkshire puds too, which are in my opinion just as tasty as homemade ones. Nice vid mate :)
What are you going to probe and roast next? 😄😆😉 Seriously though, I can't wait for your next roast dinner. Great lil' piece of technology you got there.. Proud of you mate. Cheers 🍻
I think if you had the temperature at about 220 Fahrenheit (93 c) you would’ve gotten the correct temperature, the oven was entirely too high for a slow cook roast!
That's neat with the app and the wood box charging station, but man... for 100 bucks i'll just stick with the wired version that I got for 15 bucks on amazon. :D
That's for the 4 probe + no phone required readout "Block" pack. Still, they're $169 for one with a 10m range and $200 for a 50m range. I'll stick with my $20 digital meat thermometer that I just manually stick in every now and then.
Meater is a bit flawed as the food keeps on cooking whilst resting and I like to rest my meat for about 20 minutes. Best turn down oven temperature to about 100 celcius after 30 minutes. Try some honey glazed parsnips and Yorkshire pud next time.
@@GregsKitchen Ta Grego, i am not too clever mate. I live in the Land of Smiles. Just about the only beef i can get here is water buffalo, tough as an uncooked railway line. If it's against the ad and you tube rules, i u'stand. What is their website please mate?.🐒
