The first drive of a Porsche gets you hooked. I've had many fast cars from Nissan GTR R35S to 911 Turbos. I always go back to Porsches.

Yes! Mine is a 08 987.1 Cayman 5spd and it's so much fun on twisty back roads. It came with 17's but I had a set of 18's from a previous Cayman and it's more "nimble" feeling with the smaller ones. Less unsprung weight and reacts faster to inputs. Speed chrono also "tightens" up the throttle for increased response to inputs as well as changing the rev limiter to a hard limit as opposed to gradual. Find one that's been driven, really driven and well maintained, buy it and you'll love it.

Can you show me where you can buy a boxster s for 5 grand? I think you mean 7-8k low mileage Boxster s is 11-15k maybe a normal boxster 2.7 but then who wants that over the 3.2 and 3.4

By the way was that car Made in Finland? Throughout the years they assembled Porsche Boxters for some time in Finland. Later on they assembled some of the Mercedes SUVs. They started assembling SAAB about 1969-70. Nowadays they are specialized in making the roofs for convertables with, I think, a factory in Germany or Poland.

Budget Porsche 😭 never that and never will be let’s not get it twisted son a bmw is deffinetely not a budget Porsche and never will be no matter how much you do to it you can modify the crap out of it it still ain’t a Porsche a Porsche is a purpose made sports car a bmw is a executive lounge I find it a absolute laugh when I see them all done up like they are something they are not with a loud exhaust looking ridiculous but it’s true bmw owners are Porsche owners in disguise just can’t afford the ownership of one

Don’t think you have ever driven a Porsche as if you had you wouldn’t be saying it does nothing for you. Porsches changes you as a person you unleash a different side you never knew you had driving one only the people who can’t afford to drive one would say such a thing

That’s a fact I don’t see anyone buying the so called ultimate driving machine doesn’t matter what you think it ain’t a Porsche and never will be hey even the guy here look at his face driving one and he’s a bmw guy says a lot really don’t it? Clearly you have never driven one and will probably not live to drive one in your time unfortunately but don’t criticise a car you have never driven and never likely to own there is a reason everyone leaves bmw after driving a Porsche which I’m sure this guy will show that now he’s driven one as having to drive whatever car he drove back in ain’t the same feeling. I can almost guarantee this car is now on his next car to own list and it won’t be the so called “ ultimate driving machine” keep staying in that lane a car even the poorest of poorest can afford these days I mean every guy down the road owns a bmw not every guy owns a Porsche so says a lot. I see people going into the job Center with a bmw you don’t see people in a Porsche going into the job Center 😭

The comment below 👇 stating they had many cars and always goes back to Porsches already tells you people who can afford it do not and will not speak badly Porsche love their car and the owners the Porsche club is one of the best things about owning any Porsche and the dealers when they hold the events are even more spectacular something bmw wouldn’t and don’t ever do due to how many people own that crap they wouldn’t want every chav turning up at the dealership with holes in their shoes can’t afford to even dress that’s something you don’t see with Porsche guys.

I have one almost identical George. Had many BMWs (still have 2 ) but the Boxster is on another level engineering wise and drive wise. Mine is unfortunately built March 2006 and therefore £750 a year to tax. Only drive it for a couple of months or so a year so it’s going to have to go.
