Alison Kraus has done collaborations with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Their songs have a Rock-a-Billy flair. You should check them out. You won't be disappointed!
Alison has collaborated with a lot of people, but what I have grown fond of recently is her duets with Robert Plant - they sound great together! She taught him to harmonize :) "Can't Let Go" live performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EP-lY05dsmY.html "Trouble With My Lover" live performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hHUl-al3b24.html "Searching For My Love" live performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HS4MT77sAS0.html Or, you can hear all three of these songs in one NPR Tiny Desk Home Concert ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-srn5Cd9yR3Y.html
Jamey is a great singer-songwriter. It's interesting the quality of performers that take on this song. It's like only the best want to try it. Having the angelic voice of Alison Krauss on this track is just perfect.
Alison Krauss’ voice is amazingly pure. It’s also very soft. Only concert I’ve attended where the crowd wanted the sound turned up. A few of my favorites … How’s the World Treating You with her and James Taylor Whiskey Lullaby with Brad Paisley Ghost in this House The Lucky One A Living Prayer Baby Mine Down to the River to Pray River in the Rain Teach Your Children with Kathy Mattea and Suzy Bogguss
I prefer Willie and Ray, but this is also excellent! As far as the timing, I believe Alison sang "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" at that same event and it was also done at a very slow pace.
If you want your heart pulled out of your chest (like we had when this came out) Allison Kraus- Whiskey Lullaby (with Brad Paisley) ..... it's not fr the faint of heart.
Jamey johnson. "Cant cash my checks" is the definition of a country song. Similar to stapleton but id say a more "country" version whereas stapleton has so much of a soul singer feel. To me, they are equals on different playing fields
Dude Jamie Johnson, 4 walls of rainforest, raiford is a old old state prison in Florida , serious serious southern prison , no joke prison , Lenard skynard original , both versions are awesome , dude listen to both and you decide what you want to , Jamie in my opion is better than the original
Jump in and get you some bluegrass. It is music from poor, working people way before television. Its pure and American. (and most non-bluegrass musicians have a tough time playing the genre'). Dig you some Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Authentic Unlimited, Blue Highway. Or really old-school and check out Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs.
One of my favorite Jamie Johnson covers i Rebel Soldier (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zGvbjfHTy2Y.html) a bit melancholy but I think it is a great song and no one reviews it.
