This was not an audition. Contestants on AGT the Champions are invited to be on the show based on their having won previous "Got Talent" contests. Angelina's choices in this arrangement, taking the essence of a performance which is 6+ minutes long and fitting it in to the 2-minute format allowed on the show, were pure genius. I'm subscribing to watch your journey down the Angelina Jordan path to bliss. Many who are new to her but have experience reacting to other performers, assume they can make meaningful comments about her capabilities. What they don't talk about is Angelina does her own arrangements and if you watch her when practicing with an orchestra she'll stop them to make adjustments to the music.. in a roomful of adults she's confident and speaks her mind because she knows what she want to hear. She's amazing.

Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. You went into this knowing it must be great with over 80M views but you could have never expected anything like what you saw and heard. It is difficult to list favourites. I have watched her every day for 8 years because you can never predict her. The first clip of her singing with a mike is at one and a half. First in the recording studio age 6 singing I WHO HAVE NOTHING. Then there is her memorable Norways Got Talent run. Auditioning at 7 and 8 by the final so both ages are given for her win. Since I think she had Lready won it by her spectacular cover in the semi of BANG BANG. Or may already by the audition singing the Billie Holiday GLOOMY SUNDAY with all the sliding notes and vintage sound of her 1941 recording. That's if you want to start at the begining and work your way forward. Be prepared she does not sing 2 songs exactly the same even when they are the same song.
I like to watch first time reactors to our barefoot princess and enjoyed your reaction. Having watched your faces as you listened to her I have to tell you that you both have been "Jordanized". And that's a really nice thing to be. Not that we ever doubted she was destined for worldwide stardom when we started seeing her as a 7 year old in Norway , but that judges comments really did confirm it ( as they did in Norway ) , So amazing having Angelina as an adopted granddaughter.

She auditioned for and was accepted to Norway's Got Talent at age 7 and turned 8 during the show's filming. I think Angelina misheard Heidi's question about that, since English is a second language for her. She was age 13 when this was recorded in 2019 and turned 14 during the program. This video was posted in 2020 once the show began airing. Angelina has been singing since she was eighteen months old(there's video on the Internet from a Norwegian TV interview). Actually when the filmed the show, they ask more questions then what we see in the final cut. They edited the final release of and paired up a different answer with the question of when she won Norways got talent. AGT does this all the time for most dramatic effect.

First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them. Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. RedOne is 5'9" tall and is wearing 2" boots, (Nadir Khayat better known by his stage name RedOne), AJ is 6 feet 1, or more, and I think it is great, as you can see AJ is barefoot.
