It definitely does not get any better than Angelina’s rendition of this song. Although I think She should have saved it for her AGT last audition, since she didn’t win the final round.

Anegelina was known world wide by this time but not so much in America. this performance on this show turned her into a sensation. her performance was so iconic that the band Queen saw this and loved it so much, they gave Angelina the rights to her version because no one had ever sang it like that before. BUT, after her performance, Simon and the shows producers wanted to sign Angelina to a recording contract so they could pick and choose what she sang and how she sang it. Angelina and her family turned them down. they said she was still too young at 13 to sign a contract with someone who would change everything about her. so because of this, the show did not allow Angelina to win, she did make the top 10 but NOT the top 5. show business sucks. i quit watching Americas Got Talent after that happened.

She is now 13 .. for years after I Put a Spell on You .. and TALL! Unfortunately they blocked her visual once she started singing. It's ok .. I've probably seen this 75 times!! hahaha .. and she does got the "Golden Buzzer" .. Heidi gave it to her but they blocked it.
Check out her version of Etta James' "I'd rather ber blind". You are are comparing her to some greats from this era but you should compare her of the greatest of all times such as Sara Vaughan, Billie Holliday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald or Nina Simone. I'm only referencing the jazz legends but we could also mention Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan. She will be mentioned withy the greats if she keeps on. The greatest singers that mark history are not only great voices they great emotion transmitters. You should listen to Lara Fabian singing "Je suis malade", Edith Piaf singing "La vie en rose", Roberta Flack singing "The first time I ever saw your face". AJ has this gift to be able sing an emotion (not a note). She can be very technical but she doesn't try to dazzle you with technical pyrotechnics like most singers do. The mood of the song is always first.
