Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. She entered and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 16 years old, living in Los Angeles, and is signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records have agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. She is working on a new album of original music which will be coming out next year. She recently returned back from Norway. She had a couple of sold out concerts she did and she will travel to Japan as well. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a shoeless homeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. She never has nerves when she sings. Any inflections or wavering in her voice is intentional to her jazz foundation. I agree with you. Best cover of this song. She brought out the story, the gist of the story, which is one of the gifts she brings when singing a cover. She gets to the heart, the truth of the story and you can hear every word. This is AJ's arrangement, which is often commented on, but IMO overlooked for its brilliance. She begins a capella, then introduces the guitar as a complement to her perfectly-pitched vocals, centering the composition and allowing her to move away from the breathy introduction and into sustained vibrato, pushing more power and open emotion into the song as the piano joins the guitar, building to a crescendo that perfectly matches the lyrics, then finally back into a restrained coda that is almost a capella, featuring a few rich piano and guitar chords. The whole performance is just absolutely masterful. The more you understand composition, the more admiration you have for what AJ has created. And then performed live. This performance alone should have won the competition.

First time I heard Angelina Jordan sing doing the AGT audition, I cried! it was so moving and that was an amazing interpretation of the song! what I’m hearing is that she arranges her own songs ..her own interpretation and it’s always better than any other version in my opinion!!

She's never nervous. The stage is her sancturary, her 2nd home, she loves singing for people. She's performed in front of bigger crowds before AGT, The band Queen loved it so much they tweeted it, WOW! What a rendition! She had happy tears when she got back on stage to sing again for people, after the world shutdown for couple years because of C19. She has tons of covers that thanks the previous singer, but made them her own. She has her own songs she's written as well.

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. Rob has been working with AJ from the very 1st day Republic signed her at age 14. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision. Angelina Jordan is top priority for both Stargate Production Co. Currently going by the name Jim Jack, he goes from one Angelina reactor to another, leaving negative criticism, comments, lies, and says she not really that good and other singers are much better than her. We Angels are fans of other singers, but Angelina artistry is on another level for many of us. We don't bad mouth other singers like this troll because that would be totally uncalled for and not right. We're not sure why he's doing this. My guess would be jealousy. He's probably jealous that his favorite artist is not getting the same type of attention that Angelina is.
