First Time Hearing Anita Meyer - Tears in heaven | Beste Zangers Reaction! 

Anita is a national treasure who has been around since 1971 (solo since 1976). She is to us Dutch, what Betty White and Dolly Parton are to the average American, they are the Grand Dames of our time. Anita has been taking it slow for a good number of years now but she remains popular for the lady she is, truly a lovely down to earth woman. You might like her old hits too, very 70's/80's but bangers and ballads they are. (sometimes both hehehe)

Love your honest comments. This is such a feel good show. Some people here say: isn’t that the show with everyone is crying all the time. Of course they don’t, but the thing with this show organization is, that they found a way to take the singers to Ibiza and provide a great atmosphere. Every season the singers that join somehow bond very quickly. Also they have to sing to each other, so they really go into depth to find out what the others are about. It works wonders and creates a safe and personal environment in which they all shine. The band has a great influence on the whole thing. Not just playing, but also writing the versions together with the singers. They’re the best and play anything you throw at them. But you have to open up and give yourself. If you don’t want that as a singer, you just pass on the invite, I love it. It’s real, it’s live, it’s great. Oh yea, almost forgot. I was gonna tell you that Anita has been around since the mid seventies. I grew up with her songs. :)

This great woman, is an of the great artist we know in the Netherlands, maybe not to the generation of now a day's. Anita has a other great song which is her own, and was well known over the world it was her first international hit called " tell me why" Anita is now to this day a great class and beautiful woman in the age off 66 years old.

Seems you fell in love with her voice the first time hearing. I can immagine. She is a great singer. love her voice, even after all these years.

She did one of most beautiful Dutch songs ever during that season Flink Zijn. The most successful song of De Beste Zangers is by Julia Shara with a a old song from a Dutch band BZN, Just a illusion. This song became very popular in Asia and was covered by many artists.

Tears in heaven is one of my favorite Eric Clapton songs , but Anita gets away with it pretty well . Thank you again for the attention you pay to our singers from the Netherlands

When she was young overal tone was higher 😁😁😁 But she is a stayer and with shifted tone is still an amazing performing and singer.

“The Alternative way” is one of my favorite Anita Meyer songs. She did that song together with Rainbow Train. It just had a different sound back then.

Anita sang this song for Tommie Christiaan in remembrance of the beloved stepdad he lost. This is almost at the end of the show and this group has been singing abt 50 songs in 5 days on the spanish island of Ibiza. Emotions are tops then. I think translations started 2019 with Floor and some in 2018 but don’t think you’ll find more. Be well!

I’m rewatching this (again and again) and I just thought of what an amazing job these musicians did….it matched up with Anita’s voice perfectly.

In honor and with empathie for a father( Eric Clapton) and the lost of his little babyboy, none of the real great singers and stars would dare to cover and sing this song. Everyone who has at least a little bit of feelings will understand that. And be honest, she just sang it, not more. Some Songs should not be coverd. Especialy this one. It's disapointing, sad, and for me it was just a shame. For Eric it was for sure a fat slam in his face. I hope he didnt hear it. By the way, thats just my opinion on this serious thing. Thats how i feel bout it. Dont know if am right or wrong. Who cares...
