1974 hit .....they had quite a few more hits....this was a crossover hit that made it on both pop and r&b charts....however most of their hits were mainly r&b hits....while we in Brooklyn check out another band of that time from the BK called Crown Heights Affair....btw....lol....you said that man Curtis Mayfied with the one song.....Curtis is a LEGEND who has a huge catalog of hits with his group The Impressions and as a solo artist and inspired countless others....PUT SOME RESPECT ON THAT NAME.....lol.....just messing with you....know you are learning

Great choice. That's it! You're my favorite reaction channel. I love Rock and all music, but our 70s Soul isn't getting enough play on these channels. You are giving these tunes a fair shake that they deserve. Thank you young man. By the way, that sound was a Hammond B3 organ whose draw bars are set for the particular tone that you hear. Keep up the excellent work. Just Jammin' is dope. I am telling all of the people my age who have lived through this music that you are re living it for us. Peace!

BT Express, Brass Construction and Skyyy were all out of the same Brooklyn camp. If I'm not mistaken, the album cover was taken in Brooklyn on the Long Island Railroad Nostrand Ave train station. Also, Kashif joined this group about their third album.

This joint is certified dopified funk music!! This song has been sampled by many rappers including- Snoop, Dre, Jay Z, NWA, Common, MC Lyte, 2nd II None, Kam, 8Ball & MJG, Slum Village... Speaking about Curtis Mayfield- Don't Worry If There Is A Hell Below We're All Going To Go, is a song you should listened to one day even if you don't react to it. Peace

Days late to the party, but I'm lovin your song choices! That noise was the express train horn. Someone already commented below on Brass Construction (not to be confused with Mass Production of 'Firecracker' fame) and their song "Get Up TO Get Down'. Excellent suggestion and I also recommend "Movin'". And if you haven't already heard it, 'Get Up AND Get Down' by the Dramatics is amaaazing.
