"White Wedding", "Hot In The City", "Dancing With Myself", "Flesh For Fantasy", "Eyes WIthout A Face", "Catch My Fall", "Sweet Sixteen", "Mony Mony", "Cradle Of Love", etc.. So many great hits.... one of my favorites.
Javon: You thought that a song titled "Rebel Yell" was going to be a chill song? Seriously? LOL! Hey, check out "White Wedding" by Billy idol next. (Warning: It is NOT a chill song.)
I think he was my first true pre-teen celeb. crush. I thought he was the coolest thing that I’d ever seen. I lived in a tiny town in rural New Zealand at the time, and have had a thing for British boys ever since hehe. I even moved to London and have lived here for nearly 18 years. The British influence has been there since him. I still fancy him even now haha. 😆
This video evinces the World's TOP CANDIDATE for the singularly-GREATEST surrealistic, exotic, Gothic, & otherwise phantasmagoric HARD-ROCKING-PERFORMANCE in the entire history of POP MUSIC --- or at least a 'PHOTO FINISH' with the likes of LOVERBOY's "Working for the Weekend"; JOURNEY's "Don't Stop Believing"; FOREIGNER's "Feels Like the First Time"; & THE WHO's "Baba O'Riley". But when all is said-&-done --- in MY humble opinion --- I am convinced that this performance by BILLY IDOL creates a musical mise-en-scène the likes of which has never been witnessed nor duplicated by Mankind. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/63057166/all-37-pgs-the-morpheus-device-a-dream-recording-invention online.fliphtml5.com/qfczh/drmm/#p=1 drive.google.com/file/d/1Zs2IJzVX63mtzyNX_idZC-GteIcxUHUO/view?usp=sharing dreamrecordingmachinedeviceinvention.blogspot.com/ TheMorpheusDevice@Gmail.com
So happy to see Billy Idol!! Check out "Eyes Without A Face", "Dancing With Myself", "Cradle of Love", "Mony Mony", and "White Wedding". Just so darn great to rock out to! xo
No way a "One hit Wonder " This guy still does it a high level today. Any live video does him justice. He Ageless. "Flesh for Fantasy " "White Wedding" To be a Lover on and on
@@deborahwalker1329 You think anyone can listen to Mony Mony without saying "Hey Mother F****R get laid get F****D!" I've heard this at weddings. but then again my friends are animals.
Yeah! Finally!! Someone reacting to Billy ❤ I had a crush on him back in the 80's. Most women did, although they might not admit it 😁 Check out White Wedding!!!
"Eyes Without A Face", "White Weddind", "Dancing With Myself" and "Flesh For Fantasy" are just a few of his incredible hits... No disappointments here...
@@RichardFrost yeah a lot of people say WAS like everybody's dead. most of these guys are still kickin' around. i still catch myself almost doing it. like saying a certain song was one of the best. well it still is !
@@Kylora2112 Your assuming that I'm only talking about top 40 (or 100) stuff. I have quite a few friends my age that are into new music (bands no ones heard of). I'm just not into them, to each their own, yes?
@@janstan8407 My favorite year for music was 1986. My favorite album came out in 1988. And I still manage to stumble upon a couple dozen absolute monster albums every year. Times change and things go in and out of vogue. No one is making late-90s style power metal anymore, but there's still *amazing* power metal coming out, even though it's a little different. Change and progress is good.
@@Kylora2112 European power metal DEFINITELY has a lot of talent. My favorite singer right now is Tarja Turunen. I know she isn't "new" new, but I've been listening to her since about 2005 (I think). Times change and music does too, but I guess it's the Iconic songs that seem to last forever whether it's a 16 year old hearing them now for the first time, or me in my 20's when I was dancing to them when they came out. While I respect your opinion, to me change is only good, when it's good. Change can be very bad, and I've heard a lot of bad changes.
New Wave at its finest. Billy Idol, oh great times, great times! I just love that the younger generation can appreciate the music of the 80’s. That decade was CRAZY GREAT! There was such a diversity in music. It was so fun. Oh to go back for a day would be insanely GREAT. Miss those times. Billy is still rocking it, bleach blonde spiked hair and all!!! Thanks for giving him a try. The 80’s were a very special decade, never to be repeated. Glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed your reaction to some new music from the decade of decadence!!
Песня просто космическая!!! Никогда особо не любила рок, но услышав Билли Айдола просто влюбилась в это направление!!!! Супер Хит!!! Успехов тебе Билли!!! 🤘🤘💋💋💋
Now everyone needs to hear them some Billy. His song eyes without a face is great. Had such a Billy crush . Go Jay what a reaction rock out love it 😀😀💖💙💖
it's so funny because my daughter loved both of them as a child. I once sat next to a lady on a plane who said her brother was the drummer, but I don't know.
@@mwhitehead1461 I think I was a very young teen when this single was out, maybe younger. And I was definitely a young adult when Spike came along. But yes, what's not to love though, right? :)
Rebel yell 1984 , Billy Idol was in the English punk rock band Generation X 1977- 1981 before he moved to New York to become a mega rock star of the mid to late 80's. I think you'll find he predated spike who probably took Idol's look . 💜
@@kirkgibson4502 Bless your heart, I know all that. But Spike was a vampire and was over one hundred years old, so, according to the Buffylore, Idol stole his look from Spike. Clearly, if you want to stay in the real world where there are no vampires, the character of Spike may have stolen the look ;)
@@jonnylumberjack6223 sorry guys! forgot all about the Buffylore , I'm from the U.K but I used to watch Buffy and enjoyed the series . I'm 54 year's old now, but still a punk goth in many ways, so forgive my intrusion.🖤💜
White Wedding was the 1st song that I remember from Billy Idol. When that song hit the airwaves, & MTV (when they actually featured music video's) it played constantly. Great tune!
Billy has aged very well & looks as good now as he did then, in fact the maturity suits him so well. Many of the stars of Billys time either didnt make it due to drugs or have aged badly. I always loved his music his energy & his famous sneers. He just exuded sex appeal, his punk rock style & voice was so unique to him. This song was my favourite
I don’t think we ever fully realized at the time just how incredible this guy was. Hugely popular and on MTV high rotate everywhere, yes. But also down to earth intelligent, raw & real. His stage presence was phenomenal as you can see here. Ice blue eyes, sneer, spikes, skin, the full swagger. He wrote his own stuff, he was as sharp as a tack, and regardless of your orientation there was simply no denying that young Billy was smokin’ hot & impossible not to watch 🔥 💪🏻
One crazy arse Brit that can knock your socks off. When he hit the scene....hold on 🎶. White wedding, dancing with myself, eyes without a face. These were the first songs I remember from him. And he's so down to earth 💗
Jayvee knows how to groove it man! Billy Idol just phenomenon in this song, full energy, you really feel the power and excitement, like if you where in the front sit!
You have just listed to probably one of the best Rock and Roll song ever! He really was trying to be and/or was the Elvis of the '80's, with the curled lip and wild side and the voicing a la Elvis style heard just before the intro of the solo of the song.
TOLD YA TO GET READY FOR IT ..! ..... THANKS SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH ..! .... ALWAYS AWESOME TO SEE YOU ..! You gotta do DANCING WITH MYSELF NEXT and keep going .! BTW: There is a live version he did recently with Miley Cyrus of this song and they KILL IT ..!
I just had 3 Frissons watching this....Skin orgasm goosebumps! lolzz Everybody's suggestions below are great, but there is so many more!!! I also love... Shakin All Over, The Right Way, Pumpin' on Steel, Don't need a Gun, Prodigy Blues, License to Thrill, Cry, To be a Lover, Untouchables, John Wayne, Sweet Sixteen, Blue Highway, and the whole album Kings n Queen of the Underground. You gonna listen to Billy Idol you got new subscriber :)
I remember seeing Billy idol in concert in Mesa, Arizona. The first show was canceled he lost his voice and he came back 4 months later and the concert was so bad ass!!! No one is like Billy idol..
Great Reaction Jay! Next up try Billy's first MTV video that got us all hooked on him 'Dancing With Myself'. then 'White Wedding' and my fave 'Eyes Without A Face'
Wow have never seen you come out of your chair lol. Close but. Billy gets down down lol. Love him. Thanks made my day. Eyes Without A Face, Dancing With Myself, White Wedding.... he has so many good ones.
August 15, 1984 I was up the stage in the first row at Billy Idol in San Diego...one of the best concerts ever! He pulled me up on stage to dance with me...it was great to be young in the ‘80’s!
His energy in concert is still amazing! As he said when I saw him in 2019, "I'm 64 years old... But I'm still Billy fucking Idol!" Steve Stevens is the guitarist. He is incredible. He did a solo Spanish Guitar during the show that was mind blowing! Check him out too!
I saw Billy a few years back in Chicago and he still had Steve Stevies playing on guitar. The man can still perform. He even had his shirt off at times. If you get the chance to see him, I highly recommend it.
I LOVE Billy Idol and this song in particular! So very sexy! Billy Idol and Elvis did the best snarled upper lips in rock & roll history! So glad to see the crowd into this performance during those pre-cell phone days, clapping, fist pumping, interacting with the band and simply enjoying the moment.
