For my first ever BTS song, this shit SMACKED!! Really love the music that's behind their creative writing, please suggest me more BTS songs like Black Swan! Follow me on Instagram! @kevnmello Twitter @kevinmell0 TikTok @kevinmell0
Hello again! Omg, thank you for the reaction to BTS 💜 I'm really happy that you liked "Black Swan"! Apart from the obvious inspiration of the movie "Black Swan" and the (visual) motif of Shadow from Carl Jung's psychological theory (which also inspired series of two albums called "Map of the Soul"), the song was also inspired by a quote by a renowned choreographer Martha Graham - "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful" - which, as you might have noticed, was reflected in the lyrics :) For context, this song was released right before the pandemic started and has become especially meaningful after this year's anniversary of BTS' debut, due to the fact that the members confessed to us during a live stream celebrating the anniversary that they've been experiencing severe burnout, particularily concerning the music they create together as a group, because they were not sure what they want to say through their music anymore, which is why they chose to take a break from some group activities (not all of them), so that they can come back at a later date to contribute new ideas and perspectives. Considering that they are at the peak of their careers right now, I would say that it was an incredibly brave decision, which only shows their credibility and genuiness of their art, because they could've easily just continue on create music that had no meaning real to them and just reap profits off of them. They were planning to take the break back in 2020, but then the pandemic struck and they decided to stay to cheer people up with English bops such as "Dynamite" (which you've might have already heard bc it was literally everywhere lol), "Butter" and "Permission to Dance", and, in the meantime, releasing an album ("BE") which showcased their thoughts about living in the times of pandemic and managed to comfort many. "Dis-ease" is one of the songs from that album, which I would definitely recommend for you to react or just listen to in your own time! :) It is a B-side, so it does not have an MV, but here is a lyric video with well translated lyrics: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wUig7BD1kag.html&ab_channel=DIAL6137 Anyway, I hope you'll have a great week! 🍀 Borahae! 💜 EDIT: 1. I looked it up, and the instrument at the beginning is actually a guitar, but it is definitely "stylised" (?) so that it sounds very similar to gayageum, which is a traditional Korean instrument. 2. Only BTS appear in this MV, no background dancers :) The one dancing solo is Jimin (one of the singers) who has a background in contemporary dance. 3. They are definitely beautiful
Hey friend! This is all new info to me but you know your stuff! I have those lapses in creativity myself, and agree it was the right decision for them to wait to provide art with more substance. What an awesome video! I'll definitely check out disease, but i actually never heard dynamite either!
@@kevinmell0, whichever song you decide to react to - I'll be looking forward to the reaction! :) Ah, "Dynamite" is BTS' first fully-English song with dangerously catchy retro beat meant to cheer people up during the pandemic. It broke many MANY records and was BTS' first song to be nominated for a Gr^mmy. Anyway, I hope you'll have a good week and a happy Jimin day (one of BTS' members has birthday today lol)! 💜
Also this song isn’t only influenced by the black swan movie (although Rm said that he wrote it after watching the movie). The album that this song is on is called map of the soul which is all about Carl Jung’s concept of the Persona, shadow, and ego all within one’s self. This song specifically talks about their fear of loosing their love/passion for music. Also inspired by the Martha Graham quote, “A dancer dies twice-once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.”
Yes, they are attractive men! They are also funny, intelligent, humble, no egos, multi talented and is beloved by the biggest fan base. Thanks so much for your reaction 💜. Borahae
These 7 men are legends! Never disappoints. Works super hard, extremely talented and so so kind and humble. Theyre THE top group for a reason. Thank you for reActing to BTS
I would suggest the one that YT recommended after the mv, Blood Sweat and Tears, it's *chef's kiss*, easily my favorite music video ever, it's so beautiful
Thank you for reacting to BTS! The great thing about BTS is they have over 300 songs and span multiple genres. They started out as a hip-hop group but over the years they have evolved into so much more. The group has 7 men, 4 of them are vocalists and 3 are rappers. Their stage names are RM, Jin, Suga (pronounced Shoe gah), J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The fans of BTS are called ARMY. We can be quite passionate people! If you are looking to hear another song from them I have so so so many suggestions. Years of content available lol. To start with I would recommend On (Kinetic Manifesto), Mic Drop (Steve Aoki remix), Fake Love, or my personal favorite Blood, Sweat, and Tears. If you let me know what genre of music you like I might be able to give more suggestions that you will like. After reacting to a few more songs you may find yourself wanting to learn more about the band and at that point I would recommend reacting to an introduction video. The best one out there is this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-huV_yIdxZPY.html but be prepared to settle in for a bit because it is a longer video. I can tell you one thing for sure though, ARMY will watch your videos even if they are long. We don't mind long videos, in fact we love them. Feel free to pause and tell us your thoughts, and don't feel worried that it will bug us to watch a long video. I see a lot of new reactors worried about that and I just wanted to tell you it is all good. Really hope to see more BTS reactions in the future!
This music video was filmed at the Los Angeles theatre. I recommend Fake Love or Mic Drop. Kpop is more of an industry than a music genre. BTS acknowledge that they are considered kpop but always say they don't want to limit their music to that term. This is how Suga a member of BTS described kpop when asked if he considered it a genre. ‘K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better." BTS- Bangtan Sonyeondan- Bulletproof boy scouts in English Jin age 29 vocalist Suga age 29 rapper J-Hope age 28 rapper RM age 28 group leader and rapper Jimin age 27 vocalist V age 26 vocalist Jungkook age 25 vocalist
Sorry for the long comment lol Yes their are seven of them. 3 rappers (RM, Suga, and Jhope) and 4 (vocalist) (however they all do a little of everything here and their) They write, compose, and produce their own music. Along side their in-house producers. BTS has a say in EVERYTHING they put out. They write about a lot of important topics such as mental health, bullying, regret, follow your dream, persona, temptations, self love, etc. (80-90% of their songs that sound like love songs of gf/bf aren’t. They usually are about each other, their fans, self love, and/or their music) They do all sorts of genres and mix genres. From hip pop, pop, rock, EDM, etc. They are some of the most chaotic, funny, kind, and humble people. If you are interested in getting to know them I recommend these video: -Who is BTS Introduction to be by xceleste (get to know what BTS stands for as a group) -Bangtan guide 7 by Taylor Nakamoto (get to know the members roles, a little of their personality, and their relationship with one another) -The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (2022 update) by Rice Squad (shows their successful side of their story) -BTS hardships 2013-2021 by xceleste -BTS Crash Course 2020 by Suga and Spice (get to know what they describe kpop and a summary of wha their albums are about up to 2020-little out of date but highly recommend) -Rise of Bangtan get to know BTS’s journey from Pre-debut and a little of kpop.
They are 7 incredibly talented young men that could each have a solo career. (And most do have solo work). But they all have worked so hard for the band. And they can write and perform almost any genre of music well. Welcome to the rabbit hole!
Thanks for reacting to BTS. Yes all of them are the members of BTS. There are 3 rappers (RM, Suga & J-hope) & 4 voals (Jin, Jimin, V & JK). BTS is a powerhouse of talented members. They compose, write their songs, dance, sings, raps & can play musical instruments. They have songs of different kinds of genre. You only see a part of what they have to show or offer you. They also have English songs like Dynamite, Butter & Permission to Dance (written by Ed Sheeran given to BTS as a gift). If you find them good in MV's, you need to check their live performances coz they sounded really good live just like a recorded one.
Just getting started? They perform this live. Yes they're all perform this music video if you like this song there's more 🙂 Please try to react ON KENETIC MANIFESTO 💕 FAKE LOVE 💕 MIC DROP 💕 IDOL💕 that's it for now, just if you want to dive deeper to BTS They're 7 members 3 Rappers and 4 Vocalist Love your reaction 💜 take care always Borahae 💜💜💜
BTS singing "What's my thing now" and you gushing about their beauty (yes that is their thing in K-pop) and you ending your gushing "It's abnormal." And next blink Jimin throwing his angel wings open before your eyes like saying "You got it dude!" abnormal as in inhuman. They are literal angels.
Hwy Kevin... They're all members of BTS and not the backup dancers ... I enjoyed watching your reaction .. Pls keep it coming :) and all the 7 are super super talented !!! There are 4 vocalists and 3 maknaes in BTS.
I'd love to make a suggestion! Try "On - Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima". Wierd name. Sensational video. Welcome to BTS. If you decide to react to more than a couple more songs, we won't me mad. 😁
Yes there are seven members. Three rappers and four vocalists and no this isn't indicative of their entire catalog. They have songs in many genres from rap to ballad, r&B to EDM. Generally you will get something different from them each time you hear them.
Yea, BTS! They cover so many different flavors of song it's ridiculous. The closest I can think of as far as vibe is probably Fake Love (more interpretive type dance and a mellow beginning with guitar, though it opens up more as it progresses). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7C2z4GqqS5E.html It is part of the storyline that weaves through some of their videos, so some of the symbolism might be a little confusing.
As others was said they have music in pretty much every genre. I would recommend Mic drop (Steve Aoeki mix), Save me, Airplane part 2 for some different genres. Also Ddaeng that is featuring just the rap line.
That was super Kevin! Loved it. There are so many great BTS songs. React to "Bulletproof Part 2, "On Kinetic Manifesto", "Blood Sweat and Tears", and "Dynamite". You'll get a little bit of knowledge of their growth throughout the years in all of these songs.
Gracias por reaccionar a mis chicos favorito soy army (fandom más grande del mundo) y tengo 50 años , es que army no tiene edad. Ellos me sanaron el alma los amo💜💜💜💜
This song hits harder now after understanding the fact that at the time of making this album bts NEEDED to go on a break (but couldn’t cuz of the circumstances) because they were getting exhausted and trying too hard and almost losing the joy in what they do.
Thank you friend 🖤 i actually did the ateez gurilla! I think the file corrupted but I may do it again, just sucks because it’s not a genuine 1st reaction anymore
First time seeing your vedio, thanks for reacting to BTS, they're my babies 🤗🥰💜, love them so much, so there is so many MVs to check out, there's mic drop,if you want to check that out,I think you would love it, even though there's many more, but I'm sure others will recommend them one by one to you, WELCOME
Trust me, you have (probably) heard a BTS song called Dynamite, you said to another person that you didn't heard that song but maybe you have heard it but don't know is BTS or the name. So react to that song (do not priorities thia reaction tho) 💜
Next... check on their other songs No More Dream (debut song) NO We Are Bulletproof Pt.2 Mic Drop (BTS' reply to their haters with a little flexin' on the side...spitting facts) you gotta check this highly recommended Idol Fire 🔥 (literally 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯) Dope Danger Attack on Bangtan Spring Day On Bapsae Boy N Luv Lights Magic Shop Love Myself Mikrokosmos And a lot more...they have a lot of songs. I recommend you also check their dance practice videos so you can see the whole dance and appreciate the whole choerography. You can react to ut side by side. Their songs may sound catchy and danceable but it's more than just a song it has deeper meaning and the messages behind it is something else. Their songs talks about social iseues, injustices, bullying, mental health, self love and a lot more. Most of their songs are expiained by DKDKTV channel.
I'm sure you have heard BTS, especially the English songs. You just don't know that they are from BTS. The string instrument you hear is not a guitar but a Gayageum which is a Korean zither.
I would recommend you this following video "A Guide to BTS members" for your future reaction: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-huV_yIdxZPY.html
With "Black Swan," BTS divulge their most harrowing shadow yet, one that any person who lives for making art faces: losing the passion for creating. "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." Martha Graham. This quote is at the root of the sentiments inlaid in "Black Swan." Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death. RM sings, "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death." Once again, BTS affirm that despite their countless record-breaking accolades, the wealth they've amassed, and their ever-increasing fame, they are artists. What means most to them is the art - music, visuals, dances - that they create. cr. Refinery29.com
