Exodus was probably one of bobs most notable and maybe one of his favorites, every single time he performed it live he danced like crazy, take the Boston 1978 performance for example, the moment get up stand up transitioned into exodus he was shaking his dreadlocks everywhere.

Bob Marley is a legend without all that award BS. He's bigger than that. It has a chill vibe because the people playing and listening to it were all smoking weed. And weed is a sacrament of the Rastafarian religion.

God gave this earth the gift of Bob Marley. It's inhabitants did deserve him. God took him home. He understood peace, love and togetherness. "You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect-you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break-her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there.” ― Bob Marley

Reggae came from Jamaica in the 1960's. It usually relates news, social gossip, and political commentary. Bob was a very special man who was very dangerous to governments. Some even say he was killed and that the cancer he died from was injected into him during a medical procedure. Next time you are in Cincy, hit me up and I will introduce you to some Reggae. I can play a bunch on the guitar too.

One of the most magical times of my life was seeing him perform at a small outdoor concert in Berkeley. When he sang and danced, his long dreads would fan out over him. Amazing performer. Try to catch more of his songs. The beach vibe you hear is the beat and music but his lyrics can be full of a lot of serious issues like poverty and injustice. Kind of like Tupac in that way. He was a big time idol in the 60's and 70's.

i think you maybe like roots reggae and not dancehall reggae. roots came before dancehall. dancehall and hiphop are cousins, with hard beats and rhyming. roots survives still, but dancehall tookover. ska reggae was before that. bob sang ska in his earliest days. checkout the discography of beres hammond for modern roots reggae.
