Oof, that's a huge question to answer... 😅 Dynamite was my first meeting with BTS (YT recommended their VMA performance) and I thought "why not, looks like fun" and then I became curious about them. I randomly clicked on Epiphany live....and I bawled my eyes out over the lyrics! I'm definitely in the "BTS finds you when you need them the most" category. Epiphany quite litterally saved my life! Let's just say that it pulled me out of a *very* dark place and inspired me to make some difficult but much needed drastic changes to my life and it has become my life mantra. I'll be forever grateful to them for their music as well as their wholesome, honest and endeering personalities and friendship. You should definitely watch a live performance of Epiphany. It's a very important song in their discography and Suga even picked it as his favorite song of theirs at the time. On a side note, this isn't Jin's own original melody; Bang PD chose another melody that he felt fit better with the album concept despite Jin working really hard on it. RM said in a live that Jin was quite disappointed. 🥺 However Jin released the original melody (with placeholder lyrics) on the Proof album's third CD and it's amazing. It's very obvious that he wrote that version because the range shows off his gorgeous voice to the absolute max. 💜

The coolest thing about this song is that when it is performed in a massive audience or even when army is alone singing it, everyone who sings is singing about loving themselves. That is amazing and giving. I have never seen an artist use words so common in order to inspire others to love themselves like this.

Epiphany is one of their songs that has literally saved me. I listen to it when things are really bad and/or I see myself slipping habits of people pleasing and prioritizing everyone else above myself. This song reminds me that if nothing else I am worthy of my own love, and that I don't have to be perfect to love myself. I almost always cry when I listen to this song, especially live because it's just so powerful and means so much to me.

Came from a domestic violence situation. I finally got the courage to get out and drifted emotionally a couple of years. A recommendation for Idol came up, I watched it and got sucked in. Swoosh down the rabbit hole I went. I watched the videos all in order. When I came to Epiphany, I am not exaggerating when I say this got to me. I ugly bawled and realized that I had stopped loving myself due to how the person that was In My life trashed my self esteem. I was a strong and outspoken person, but he had made me doubt my self worth and who I was. This song made me realize what and who I was. This song was the beginning of my healing and I still go back to it when i need that reminder. So now I love myself and speak myself all due to the music of a seven member band from Korea. I didn’t speak their language, but understand their music. Epiphany is a song I share with many. I tell them to read the words to this song.

This song reminds me of a wedding where two people at an alter hold their individual candles and upon lighting a third, blow out their own. I'm sure many can relate. However, taking that too literally, it can mean complete death of one's self in order to become one with (and/or, in a religious sense....subservient to) someone else. Epiphany: Never, ever give up who you are to become what someone else wants/needs.

Yoongi is my bias but Seokjin is my gateway to BTS. I will forever be thankful that I "chanced upon" (more like I was destined to watch, because as they say BTS finds you when you need them most) a compilation video of Jin always wishing ARMY happiness and that's where I started. Hello, I've been scrolling past your reaction because you only watched the lyric video and mv and for me a reaction that does not include the live performance is incomplete. But I just watched your conversation with John Reaves so I thought I would at least see what you thought of the song. Thank you for your reaction and for liking the song - obviously you've come a ways down the road from just liking the rapline when you talked to John. However, please watch the live performance even if you don't do it as a reaction. Jin was just glorious in it and got a standing ovation for his performance. I have not seen anyone else in BTS hold an audience enthralled by just standing there and singing. I watch his live Epiphany when I feel like I need a bit of a treat, especially these days when I miss Moon so much. Hope you are finding your journey down the rabbit hole rewarding.

Their is just not enuf of me for them sometimes. So I am all over the place! I don't think about me or taking care of me sometimes. Apart from all the beautiful things ARMY just said. This song reminds me to a film I saw a while ago. I think the title was "Memento" the plot start with the end and the scenes goes backwards as in chronological order. Here I believe Lumpems went a bit farther and to complicated a bit more, the scenes overlaps as to one point I believe we see 3 different Jins in 1 room. As for the book is not just any other book. It is the red diary that the girl in "Highlight Reel" lost. I chronologically would placed this video within the BU as posterior to the last video of "HL. R." When he goes to meet the girl with the flowers after he has done for her everything she had written as wishlist on the red diary, but he still loose her and there is were he has an "Epiphany"( a moment of realisation that in order to move forward he needs to be himself and not change himself in order to make her happy). What do you think ARMY?

Aside from BU, I view this video as the journey to self love. It's a process that takes time. You have moments of clarity and strength as shown here in color or when the rain goes upward. And you also fall back into old habits that bring you down, shown in blk/wt and the same scenes on loop. Jin's delivery is so raw and beautiful with the lyrics. Please check out his live performances of Epiphany as well. ps- I miss Jin!!!!

First of all about the MV, it is a part of BU (Bangtan Universe) and I don't know if you are ready for it... Like Jin is said to have the butterfly effect... He is supposed to save the six other guys, but he can't save all of them, one or two always ends up getting ded... So he just repeats the process, tries every way to save them all... And about this song... If someone who already love themselves or is in the journey of self love - for them this song doesn't hit hard. But those who have grown up without looking at themselves with kindness & love - they get this sudden realisation... And the song is like an awakening to start loving oneself. I remember how I used to be in the past (when I didn't know of BTS), I was so hard on myself, I used to think no one will ever like me or fall in love with me... Before realising (through this song) that I need to be in love with myself first! You glow when you love your own self. This song did that for me, especially that line "not so perfect but so beautiful" that's my favourite line, and Jin's soothing & comforting voice the whole time ❤ They really are the main inspiration in my life for literally everything ❤ I can't thank them enough 💜 Thankyou so much for reacting to BTS 💜 (and I'm eagerly waiting for Jimin's album's reaction... Along with his hidden track, and pre released tracks... If you get to them too ofcourse... No burden 😂❤)

I highly recommend BTS World story. It's a running timeline through their music videos that builds a fictional story/world that is very complex but so creative. There are parts that are so fun, parts that will shock you, and parts that will make you cry, all told through their MVs. Time travel, alternate time lines, mysticism, just so much. Even things like the flowers and the red book and the picture at the end by the truck in this video are symbolic. As are the multiple versions of Jin.
