I definitely recommend Flowers... it's the best "Stormzy diss track" from Chip! Plus, I think you'd prefer the beat and his flow. I think you should definitely stay well away from Killer MC tho 😅... you don't seem to be a big fan of UK Grime, and the Killer MC beat is almost like an extreme/crazy kind of Grime beat, so for you old school hip hop ears, it probably won't be a very nice experience 😅 But 💯 react to Flowers... that was where it all started, and one that I think you'd appreciate way more then this one ! If you wanna hear clashing. Listen to the beef between chip and Bugsy malone. Fire tracks back and forth. Chip released three tracks off the rip in a week in the end and decimated Bugsy but they both put their hearts into it and it was fire to witness. Chip; darth Vader, flowers, hat trick, light work, 96 bars of revenge. You need to understand grime culture to understand the importance of time. In grime, you have 24 hours to respond, that’s it, if you don’t it’s generally accepted that you have given up. That is like me telling you how hip hop should work. You really need to work on your grime ears.

Rough Timeline, Chip had a track with with "Skepta and Young Adz" called "Waze" with in-directs at another rapper called Mez, but it was ambiguous and could be construed to Stormzy. Stormzy followed up with his own in-directs on a track called "I dunno ft Tion Wayne and Dutchavelli" after this there was the house incident referenced, next chip released to diss tracks, "Flowers" and "Killer MC" "10 Commendents" was a response i believe to Stormzy on "Skengmen" with Ghetts Theres has been a couple more later "Dave - Clash ft Stormzy" which chip responded with "Clash?" Not sure if anymore beyond that.

This is where it is important to understand that Grime isn’t Rap, it doesn’t follow the same rules. Grime is a much more techy genre than mainstream hip hop when it comes to what MCs can do with flows and pockets, wordplay too. Where you think Chip is just talking, trust us, he’s flowing maaad - The more you hear, the more you will understand the rules and how the bars work. Trust me, take it from someone that was similarly unimpressed when I first heard Chip, Grime will level up your ears massively 😂 If you listen to more MCs that came up through Grime - Kano and Ghetts as well as Chip being prime examples - your ears will get in tune with it. Took me a while myself to begin to fully appreciate the levels, but once I did… 🤯🔥🤯🔥🤯 This is basically Chip toying with Stormzy. No-one wants it with Chip as they know they will likely get bodied. Even the visuals are (obviously) referring to something specific (just as the coconut and the "I've got crack you wanna a sample?" bar).. Much of chips stuff are aimed to be understood of people who knows Chip and his history, his tracks and vids are full of details that easily goes over your head .. he's not the average rapper to like, he's to complex for that.. he is definitely one of the UK GOATS but you must do your homework before you can make a judgement on his abilities as a complete artist..

This is one of my favourite of Chip's tracks and one of the best diss tracks of the last few years. Total fuckin' fire.... To be honest, I come to this channel to be entertained and I end up constantly pissed lately at the shitty opinions of dope tracks so don't reckon i'll watch anymore. Hard to react to something you don’t understand the back story to and the history of UK clash music. It’s not a “song” or “track” as such equally like the daily duppy freestyles aren’t album music. There are loads of 10 minute videos on RU-vid outlining the reason chip and stormzy are at each others necks so probably best to watch that to get the context 👍

Stormzy called himself the King of Grime, which is a joke because he doesn't rank anywhere with the legends like Chip, Wiley, Skepta, JME, P Money, Dizzee Rascal, Ghetts, Kano, Lethal Bizzle, D Double E, and more. He set off Chip who is a decorated Clash war veteran and deep down quickly realised that he was out of his depth, so he kept replying with indirects instead of properly replying, which is what is required from a Grime artist, let alone the "King". Therefore yes, he's the biggest UK rap star ever, but he is only the King of Indirects! He should have kept his mouth shut on the matter and we would have had more respect for him!

"match the beat a little" yes man...that's my biggest issue with alot of UK artists. They rap slightly off beat, but not the off beat that would actually be sonically ok.
