I just remembered it was on(or right around) Mother's day in 2005 when I got the call that the police had found her body in the freezer in her garage. They found her husband's body on the couch (of course he shot himself after he killed her. Coward!!) It's been 16 years!! Wow! I haven't heard a Cyndi Lauper song in at least that many years..... I'm gonna take this as a sign from her that she's ok and happy in heaven! :) :)

Good choice Jayy, this was Cyndi lauper's first big hit. Back in the early days she used to buy all her clothes from second hand stores she has a fashion sense all her own. This song has been around for a long time I'm surprised you've never heard it!! I love what you do Jayy and keep up the good work bright eyes

She is a miracle! Who in the world can do that with their voice? In 300 years, every girl in the universe will still be singing this song. She went on to sing so many hits with her unique voice and style. Listen to 'Time After Time' and 'True Colors' and on and on. I saw her in concert 3 times and she can rock the frickin house! She is one for the ages!

Love Cyndi Lauper. She's got an interesting personal history if anyone cares to google it. Still touring and she's quite vocal about fans at her concerts put their cellphones away and enjoy the concert live instead of watching it through their phones. Thanks for posting!

Makes the artist wonder why they are working their butt off hustling to preform when the fan is watching a screen, not the performance! Those "fans" should just stay home and watch a video and let the real fans, who can appreciate a live performance get in!

Couple of things: Cyndi CAN SANG (ask Miss Patti Labelle). The lady in the video was actually Cyndi's (real life) mom. And the clothes were from thrift shops (though she probably spends more on rags these days)... lastly this song is practically an anthem for women's empowerment. Classic 80s joint.

Wow, this brings back good memories. Back in eight grade, my best friend and I used to dress up like Cyndi and dance and sing this song (and "Like A Virgin" by Madonna) into our hair brushes! Sadly, my friend (Cyndi Colasanti ) was murdered by her husband in 2005. So until today, all I've thought of when I think of her, is how she passed. Today I'm remembering how she lived..... Thanks Jayy and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!! :)

Loved it🥰 The dad in the video was Lou Albano (Captain Lou, the rubber band man) a pro wrestler from the 60s into the mid 90s. With that the arm bar in the hallway was near comedy genius at the time.

FACT: Her Dad on this Video was Captain Lou Albano, a Professional Wrestler... and That was how he looked and Dressed Normally! The wrestler playing her father, Lou Albino, was at this time managing The Fabulous Moolah, a NWA World Women's Championship, and Lauper was managing Wendi Richter, for Wrestlemania 1. YES, she helped make the WWE (WWF back then) a success, as Vince had everything riding on Wrestlemania being a success. She is one of the most important parts of the "Rock and Wrestling" connection in the 80's.

I've loved Cyndi Lauper since I first heard her when I was a toddler. Seeing this video made me miss being a kid in the 1980's. It was such a wickedly fun time growing up. MTV was THE CHANNEL to watch back then. The fat guy in the video is pro wrestler turned manager, Captain Lou Albano. She apparently met Lou on a flight and they became quick friends, which is why he's in the video, but it turned into so much more when she became part of the WWF, now WWE, hype in 1984/85. I see others have suggested songs, so I won't bother doing so because it's all the same ones I'd recommend. Well, I recommend 'She Bop' for your next listening pleasure, but that's about as far as I'm going, lol!

Also, the guy who played her dad was a very famous wrestler at that time. And he also made appearances in a couple of her other notable videos. Cyndi has a large catalog of great songs.

Cyndi and her manager/boyfriend at the time,David Wolf,and their friendship with wrestling manager/promoter Captain Lou Albano (who plays her father in the video) led to the "Rock and Wrestling" partnership between MTV and the WWF. Which led to the first ever Wrestlemania. Cyndi and Madonna,both from NYC,broke at about the same time in the 80's and both were fierce and adamant about the fact that they were going to present themselves as who THEY wanted to be and not how the industry wanted to portray them. I'll always respect the Hell out of them for that.

All Through the Night is another beautiful Song, one of her singles from her debut album. She does have so many songs to choose from that were popular on the radio.
