It's 2am in Australia. Laying here crying for us all. Everyone is here with a story of loss. Man, this life can be tough.

My dad passed away when I was 11 and Ed sheeran was his favorite artist, we would listen to X and Divide every car ride so much that I memorized the track order on the albums. When this song came out not only was it exactly what I was feeling about my dad but it was coming from one of his favorite artists. My brother had a baby 5 years after my dad died and now she’s 2 and loves Ed’s music just as much as my dad did. Thank you for making videos showing what you’re going through because some of us need to know that we have people like you to relate to and find comfort in ❤

I would b so proud to know as a parent that I was loved so much by my children. What we leave behind is important. I heard someone say that people may forget what u do for them but they will never forget how u made them feel. U r following your dad's example by encouraging people to show that love. He would b proud.

Tomorrow will be 12 years that I resuscitated my father breaking his ribs to give him 12 more hours with his best friend and myself. Your father is always with you. He raised a GREAT man in you.

I can't imagine losing my dad at your age. I was 43 when I lost my Daddy 6 years ago on the 11th & it was still too soon. It's never easy but it gets easier ; you'll still have moments when a song or memory will hit you out of no where, but we where Blessed with Great Daddies & that's something not every child has. Oh sweetheart....it's been 12 years since i lost my dad and i can still clearly remember the exact moment i was told by my brother that our dad had passed. I remember saying " no, no, no" over and over again. I was the youngest of 4 and the only girl and it absolutely broke my heart. I also remember saying to him as i placed a flower in his grave "this is not goodbye, it's until we meet again." My dad lived a long live, he was 91 when he died and it took me a long time to finally admit that he is in peace and free of pain. Time will heal your heart but you never get over it completely. Love to you and your extended families ❤

My condolences on the loss of your dad -- I'm grateful you have beautiful memories to comfort you as you grieve. Lost my mom 7/3/21. She was 50 years old, and 2.5 years later it still hasnt quite sunk in and I'm not sure I've really grieved. My ADHD results in some object/people permanence issues (think 'out of sight, out of mind') and I'm both devastated and grateful that there was distance between us when she passed unexpectedly. Most days my brain lets me forget she's gone. Probably because i, like you, never got to say goodbye. Your vulnerability in this video made me feel like I was an interloper, watching the song pour salt in your greatest wound, but i hope that sharing your pain and grief with us helps you heal. Thank you for posting this video and i hope you took care of yourself after this video. This song is hard to hear (I, like you, played it on repeat after my first listen and just...felt everything), and your video was ...overwhelming... to watch but i had to finish it and bear witness to the love and grief you selflessly shared.
