@@antboon2709Kind of but it's not all about pills. It's a conflict between Marshall and his alter ego Slim Shady. It's about fans wanting the old slim back and Marshall not wanting to go back to that because he was a drugged up alcoholic. There's more to it than just a pill addiction.

My fav Eminem line of all time is from Déjà Vu: “Ain’t no harm in self inducing a snooze. What else is new? F*** it what would Elvis do in your shoes?” 🤯 So many layers: his addiction with sleep meds, how he’s constantly compared to Elvis. Elvis died from an overdose of drugs. All stitched together with a 6-Syllable, Multi-syllable rhyme.

Love your guys videos!! This imo is Eminem’s best song he’s done…. Bad guys last verse is the best verse ever but this song is the best he’s ever done. Love the back and forth he does and the passion he has in his voice through out the song. A pure masterpiece. I know there are songs with double entendre‘s and triple, but I think the way he did this song is pure genius.

Also if we go with the devil plot, he says in the song that "you prayed to God to get a record deal", and if from this we get that the devil answered, we can extrapolate that from eminem point of view the God and the devil have the same status, and him being the "rap God" fucks the shit up a little. Is he saying that togeder with the devil he become the rap God? Is he saying that he is the rap God/ the devil. Am I thinking to much?

You act like it’s a reach for people to think he’s referencing Shady but he always does that.

Y'all missed it cause y'all haven't really understood his Marshall and Shady persona. Is a split personality. Marshall Mathers alter ego Slim Shady. Shady told him dye his hair back go head try it. Marshall is telling him he already killed him. Later he tells Dre all Shady is is a bottle of hair bleach and vodka. When Eminem was early in his career he was doing drugs and the blonde hair became his status that sold the records. That's why he says to Marshall look at that poster, isn't that us. Telling him you hear that and then hearing the crowd screaming Shady. Then saying to Marshall I can bring your career back. Is a back and forth. Em is done with fame and drugs and all that. He lost more than what he ever accomplished. Him being shady the famous rapper he lost proof his best friend. Saying if he wasn't famous this probably wouldn't occur. Same losing Kim. It's pure genuineness. Listen to the intro of Slim Shady EP. You'll see the birth of a shady. Is the mirror reference he talks about in this song. The cover of the EP is Marshall punching a mirror with his reflection Shady talking to him through the other side. The EP came out in 97 this song in 09
