Sorry for your loss- it is always hard. I seen interviews of Eric Clapton talking about this song and his son and it is heartbreaking, but also therapy in writing and performing the song. It has nothing to do with the song itself, the music was just used in the film soundtrack.

I’m 71 and lost my little brother a little over two years ago. I was 10 when he was born. He was extremely fragile as a newborn. He didn’t come home until he was 6 months old and we all had to wear masks anytime we were around him. He eventually would be okay and by the time he was three he was my little shadow. When he died from cancer a big part of me died with him. He grew to be a great husband, father and grandfather. But, he’ll always be my shadow. I pray to God that I meet him again. I miss him so much.
