Even though this genre of music is defined as “Emo” this song and band makes me extremely happy such a energetic song I smile everytime I hear this song so much emotion poured into it.
They did. They were pretty fucking huge. Inner band problems caused the downfall. They are supposedly making a comeback in 2023 with new music and playing when we were young 2023
I'm 36 years old and I'm still listening to all of those bands from the early 2000s... They just don't have music like that anymore, and being that they were big influences in my life and helped me through some teenage shit, I'll never stop listening! 🤘🤘
Makes me so nostalgic for high school. Got some suggestions: Emery - "Walls" Thursday - "Understanding in a Car Crash" Chiodos - "The Words "Best Friends" Become Redefined" I'll drop some more suggestions on the next one. Definitely the music I grew up on.
They were truly ahead of the public back then. I always lived them since 7th grade but you definitely had to seek them out. That said, they did Olay Warped Tour more than once back then, so they weren't exactly small either.
This album was perfection. Toured with these guys back in the day and they are some of the nicest people in music too, especially R2000 the lead guitarist.
You should react to that entire album man. It’s an all time great album in the genre. Three simple words, perfection through silence. Man that whole album is fire man.
listened to this cd a ton while skateboarding growing up. memories. glassjaw - ape dos mil, tip your bartender scary kids scaring kids - my darkest hour alexisonfire - happiness by the kilowatt thursday - understanding in a car crash at the drive in - one armed scissor

I would love to see you react to the whole Say Hello To Sunshine album. Nate really channels his inner Mike Patton influence on that one. I absolutely recommend it.
I would say this was the first Screamo song that took off. For first emo it would be embrace, sunny day real estate in 1994 and Mineral power of failing in 1996. The best of the best!
One of my favorite songs I found it on youtube looking for songs on 2015 I found a bunch of good ones from Thursday, New found glory and finch and funeral for a friend.
Thursday Senses fail Armor for sleep Hidden in plain view The starting line Brand new Taking back Sunday Under oath So many more loved this time in my life!
No matter what genre it is...a certain song leaves a thumbmark on a person's life it locks on an event that can only happen once and it keeps that memory like an old photgraph...
One of the best bands to come out of Temecula , CA ! We went to middle school and high school with these guys and they are very talented! I wish they could have mended their differences and actually release their last few songs they had ! The last unreleased songs are pretty bad ass !!!
Haha you definitely heard this before just by watching your head nodding to exactly where the beats were about to hit. It's all good cause this is a classic. And commenters will love to hear this one...they're going on tour in May 🤯🤯🤯
So I'm from Temecula, and when I used to tell people that I'd always be like "YEAH, LIKE WHERE THE BAND FINCH IS FROM YOU KNOW?" Like that meant something to people haha. To this day, if someone mentions them I feel like I HAVE to tell them "Oh, they're from Temecula!" So here I am... doing just that haha.
Gotta do an Alexisonfire track! My vote goes to No Transitory but Accidents, Pulmonary Archery and This Could Be Anywhere in the World are all fantastic too
Anybody that pays attention to the site Finch displayed their last 2 shows house of blues Thursday and Friday and they tore it down to sold out shows. They're gonna play again in September and October and November and they're back come out and see us.
Hey Hoopsick, did you do parking lot off Minerals power of Failing record for your Emo show yet. I’m listening to it now after 25 years and it still is the my fave emo track of all time. BTW finch was the bomb!
i dunno wot are u are man but ur probablt roughly the same age but to see somebody that loves that song is fuckin great. i live in scotland and alot of people do love metal, emo and punk but this song will live with me til the day i die. im 32 right now n even at my 60s i know ill be listenin to this. u dont listen to a song from very young for nothing. american bands made my childhood. green day and nofx especially
Dude listen to almost anything from their album Say Hello to Sunshine, specifically Ink or Bitemarks and Bloodstains. The whole thing is an unsung hero of mid-2000s math emo. And Nate Barcalow literally learned how to sing from Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw so you know it’s coming with the heat.
Finch was the shit! Dude check out the band It Dies Today the song "A Threnody for Modern Romance" . That is if you want a lil piece of amazing in your life!
Great song by finch, try reacting to Memory by sugarcult, Gone so young by Amber pacific, and The Boston drama by typecast, a famous emo band from the Philippines.
This a shortened version....there's a few more screams in the middle. Great, great song!🔥 These guys were great. Just kinda walked away on their terms.
I saw these guys in 2009 at a Soundwave Festival in Australia and they were solid. It really is a shame the bloke that ran that festival was such an incompetent twat because they were a lot of good fun. As a recommendation I'd throw Funeral For a Friend - Roses For The Dead into the mix. I am not sure if they really got any playtime state side as they're Welsh.
oh wow what a song... hope someone the guys know didnt get killed alongside his gf in a car crash like this. Ammm... I would want to do a request. Crossfade - Starless (live acoustic)
