In memory of Biz Markie, "The Vapors"

I remember when this video was first released. They first showed it on Yo MTV raps wich aired here in europe at the same time as the us. I had to set my alarm and sneak downstairs to Watch it. I was so excited, I forgot to push record on my VHS so I had to wait 2 weeks before I could listen to it again because that’s when they released it in europe. It was so great, unlike anything I heard before. Their old album was good but not great as the Score was. I was Lucky to see them live that summer in Amsterdam. I’ve seem Lauryn a couple times over the heard, last one being 3 years ago and she is an artist in every sense of the word. Her music, her style and most of all her Messenger, it’s pure Art, out of this World

Bruh....if you want to hear L Boogie at her MOST powerful lyrically, and also where she was prophetic and ahead of her time? Listen to her MTV Unplugged album, and her song "The Mystery of Iniquity". Many people don't vibe with her unplugged but, you gotta look at the time period she came out, and what she was saying in the song. POWERFUL words if you just listen. And of course, listen to ANY track on "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" and you will hear nothing but hits. 98 was a helluva year for music lovers.

You should listen to the first Fugees album, Blunted On Reality. The main song is the Nappy Heads remix. Also Lauryn has a solo on that album called Some Seek Stardom. You should check it out. Another female rap song that's not a Lauryn Hill song is Three Da Hard Way by Bahamadia and two other women who aren't named.
