Everyone else is going to say this but yes, George was in the Travelling Wilburys. He was also in an obscure little band called the Beatles. He has a lot of MUCH better solo stuff. Try out My Sweet Lord, Give Me Love, What is Life, All Those Years Ago, Got My Mind Set On You, and When We Was Fab,

I think George was the underrated Beatle. His songs that he wrote with the group are some of my favorites ("Taxman", "Within You Without You", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun" & "Something"). He was a great songwriter & had many hits when he went solo. Also love when he was part of the supergroup "The Traveling Wilburys" with Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan & Tom Petty. Very talented man who left us too soon. At least we have the legacy of his music.

George being the most underrated Beatle isn’t even debatable. Towards the end of the beatles music career, George was clearly on the level of John and Paul at least. The 2 best songs on their last album were written and sang by George.

@@davidgfisher I went ahead and watched the Here Comes The Sun reaction, and at the end they said it was their favorite Beatles song so far, and they asked each other if the singer was John or Paul, and they couldn't decide. Meanwhile, almost EVERY comment was about George. Naturally, since it's George's song. They obviously didn't look at the comments. It was the same on the While My Guitar Gently Weeps reaction, except they didn't out loud ask if it was John or Paul that time. They probably assumed it was John, since George sounded more John-ish than Paul-ish in it. They weren't trying to know if there were more than two singers. This song was co-written (and produced) by his fellow member of The Traveling Wilburys, the legendary Jeff Lynne. Speaking of Lynne, you're overdue for an ELO song. "Turn to Stone" would be a good one, while "Roll Over Beethoven" is an eight-minute classic rollercoaster of a song. For some heavy violin, you can always go with "Livin' Thing" or "Sweet Talkin' Woman." For something really unique, there's "Rockaria"--combining rock and opera.

John, Paul, GEORGE, and Ringo. George was first a Beatle. Some of their most iconic songs “Something” (Frank Sinatra called it the most beautiful song ever written) and "Here Comes the Sun" were composed by George. His solo career gave us"My Sweet Lord" and more. Then, he was in the Traveling Wilburys.

There are 3 distinctive eras in George Harrison's career. 1. As the lead guitarist of The Beatles, 2. His solo career and 3. His involvement in The Traveling Wilburys. From the Beatles you need to react to his songs SOMETHING and WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS. From his solo career check out 'MY SWEET LORD', 'GIVE ME LOVE' and 'GOT MY MIND SET ON YOU'. From the Traveling Wilburys check out HANDLE ME WITH CARE. George is a legend and I'm not sure if this song was the best introduction to his music, but I enjoyed it.

Reactions like this remind me that you've only been in this world of Rock for a short time. George Harrison is a legendary influence as a guitar player and songwriter with that ancient band The Beatles, solo and yes was also one of the founders along with Jeff Lynn (ELO) of the Wilburys. Songs ... "Isn't it a Pity", "Give Me Love", "Wah-wah", "What is Life", "Daek Horse"

In 1971 "The Concert for Bangladesh" in Madison Square Gardens was the first rock concert to raise funds for a humanitarian crisis. Billed as George Harrison and Friends, the list of performers include Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, Billy Preston, Ravi Shankar, and Eric Clapton. A film of the concert was released in 1972, If you see no other clip from the movie check out Leon Russell's medley "Jumpin' Jack Flash / Youngblood."

You’ve reacted to George Harrison before when you’re reacted to While My Guitar Gently Weeps. He was the youngest Beatle… Yes, he was in the Traveling Wilburys. He plays the opening guitar riff and sings the first verse of the song you reacted to.

George Harrison is my mom’s favorite Beatle, as well as mine. He was the Quiet Beatle who delved deep into Transcendental Meditation, so a lot of his late 60s songs includes sitars and Indian instruments. He had a HUGE hit in 1987, “Got My Mind Set On You.” Once you are on the Harrison path, listen to “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” While it is a Beatles song, it is completely his song. Eric Clapton plays on the song. He then had an affair with Harrison’s wife, Patti Boyd, breaking up the marriage. Boyd and Clapton’s relationship led to Clapton to write “Layla” about how he felt when he fell for her, and the ballad “Wonderful Tonight.”

George was dear friends with Jeff Lynne , founder of Electric Light Orchestra-- they worked on producing songs for each other and I think you’d be able to see their influence on each other. George also orchestrated the Concert for Bangladesh that raised money for starving children in the poor country. He was a beautiful human

George is a legendary talent both in groups and solo. (Many good suggestions below) one of the greatest songwriters and organizer of "Concert for Bangladesh" which brought together too many legends to name - Clapton, Dylan, Billie Preston... that concert should be part of any student of music's library. Very spiritual guy - studied and practiced Hindu religion and meditation 👍 For female Fridays: pleeeeze check out Phoebe Snow, "poetry man" or "teach me tonight." Love you two 💕

George Harrison always struck me as a spiritually minded person. And his music encapsulating that ethereal character...My Sweet Lord is the overt example but what's not as obvious(but still omnipresent) is the same spirit running through his complete oeuvre. Was it a natural instinct or was it a developed talent? Be an angel and hazard I guess

The Traveling Wilburys were the brain child of George, in fact the name came from a comment he always made when making a mistake while recording, "We'll bury it in the mix", it become a Georgeism, "I wilburryed that" Need to read the "book" I just emailed to you, true story of how the Wilburys were born

Video probably filmed in Hawaii, where George lived a large part of his later life. Harrison was a very spiritual person so the love he refers to is more than just the typical romantic kind featured in songs. Also, that lead guitar (including the slide guitar) is him playing.
