I'm so, so glad you've discovered Haley. Do her version of "Seven Nation Army" Spectacular! She's my favorite female vocalist...hands down. She also does an amazing version of "Can't Help Falling In Love". The list of her glorious work goes on and on.
@@GOTGames Oh, yeah! Did she EVER do "Seven Nation Army!" It's in the same Jessica Rabbit class as her rendition of "Creep!!!" By the time she's done, you'll want a smoke and a cold shower! :-) That video is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sB6HY8r983c.html There are half a dozen 2015 Haley/PostModern Jukebox videos & all are excellent. Then Haley & PMJ went their separate ways...UNTIL last September when Haley returned to do a KILLER rendition of "Don't Speak" by No Doubt -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Txi7QuO99kM.html
@@GOTGames "Creep" is my favorite, but her rendition of "Don't Speak" by 'No Doubt' is a close second. She has done quite a few songs with PMJ, and they are all great!
Dude. PMJ is the rabbit holes of all rabbit holes. Scott Bradlee, the pianist, is the leader, arranger, and mastermind of an amazingly talented cadre of musicians. They reimagine pop songs in period genres and bring in vocalists best suited to the genre. Haley is one of the best. Her colabs with PMJ are legendary. This song was done on the first take while they were on tour. Everything about this rendition is mind blowing. I haven’t even watched your reaction yet. I can’t wait!
I wish I could give this reply 10 thumbs up. Also be sure to find all of Haleys stuff. She has some amazing videos out that aren't part of Post Modern Jukebox.
I love how your eyes sparkle immediately when you hear a song you love! Your energy is like a kid on Christmas morning 😃 Haley Reinhart...she's amazing!
@@GOTGames One of the other vocalist is Morgan James. She is an amazing, brilliant singer. Prince gave her permission to sing one of his previous recorded songs 'Call My Name'. The music video was really stunning. Ps. I've seen PMJ while their were on tour. One with Morgan and the with Haley.
@@GOTGames Marc beat me to it. ALL ABOUT THAT BASS by PMJ is brilliant! A bit of trivia ... The third singer, Ariana Savalas, is the daughter of TV start Telly Savalas, who started in TV cop show that was huge in the 1970s, KOJAK!
Haley is amazing, but don't overlook the backing band. Postmodern Jukebox is incredible, I've seen them live several times. They have a core handful of musicians and add others as needed, and they're all top-notch. They have a huge catalog, and their arrangements are all so cool. Scott Bradlee, the pianist and the guy that does all the arrangements was at one of the concerts I went to, and took live requests and did mashups on the fly. It was seriously impressive
She had been a contestant on American Idol and she was so unique. She went really far in the competition but I felt like they didn't know what to do with her, since she doesn't fit the typical mold of a pop singer. I was happy to see she has found a home on that youtube jukebox channel, as their concept of remaking and jazzing up cover songs really suits her style of singing.
yes... she is something. those other vocalist you mentioned are good but haley is a whole other level and maybe the best vocalist that i have heard in my life. i stumbled across her about year and half ago during the pandemic and have now listened to everything that she has put out on youtube (incl. pm, solo, interviews and americn idol performances, etc) , bought all 4 of her solo albums and the 2 essentials pmj albums that have her on it. in short, she just touches the soul like no other. the extensive range, growls, soft breathiness, scats, etc are all great but i think its something about quick fading vibrato that pull you emotionally in like she is only singing directly to you in a very personal way. the only other singer that had that kind effect on me was karen carpenter. their tones are very different but the effect is the same... recommend you react next to a couple of her other pmjs (seven nations army, don't speak), her elvis cover for extra (link in my post above) and maybe a few of her american idol performances to get a good overall idea of her true talent
Please react to Tom Jones "I'll never fall in love again". You will love it, it shows just how great his voice is, and it is a great and lovely song too. Keep reactions coming. Just discovered your channel and am loving it. 👍😍🇬🇧
Post Modern Jukebox has the best vocalists guest with them. She's my favorite, and if you like her Marilyn vibe, she cranks it up to 11 in her "Oops I Did It Again" cover. I like watching the musicians react to her in the background on several songs. The drummer on "Habits" was gobsmacked.
@@GOTGames I've got one from BGT2016 Emily Middlemas here is the link. It is quirky and so is she, but she should have won. Do what you will with it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JpTJs3uqEX4.html Emily Middlemass covers 'Creep'.
excellent reaction. haley is one the greatest, most unique vocalist of our time. postmodern jukebox (or pmj) takes current popular songs and completely re-imagines them vintage (1920s to 1960s) in the music itself and style of the performances that actually take you back in time. they have a variety of good vocals but haley reinhart especially with postmodern jukebox is incredible. all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: "all about the bass", "habits", "black hole sun", "mad world", "seven nations army", "oops i did it again", "lovefool" and the very recent "don't speak" that definitely has the james bond vibe. i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing silk to sandpaper voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little of her unique vocal acrobatics, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her solo platinum cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like here: (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_uNpEbt7w_o.html )
Right? I cannot even listen to tge original anymore...if it ain't Haley, it just isn't as good...regardless of original artist. One of the only artists aside from PTX that does that to me.
I hadn't noticed before that you reacted to this! The look(s) on your face during this amazing performance were PERFECT! I suppose "who is the best?" is a very subjective question. I prefer Haley to Angelina, for example, but that's just me. BUT. This particular song on that particular day is one of the most spectacular individual performances ever. EVER. ANY genre, any artist, any time. This blew my mind. I have heard the official AND reactions of this as much as any other performance by any other artist. I'll shut up. You did this a year ago, so you may not even see this! GREAT reaction young man!!!
I love Post Modern Jukebox! I would love to see you react to their version of Dream On with Morgan James! In terms of Haley, her original song "Don't know how to love you" is amazing.
PMJ and Scott Bradlee's arrangements are the best. After Haley, check out Morgan James and her collabs with PMJ. Haley and Morgan, along with Ariana Savalas, cover "All About That Bass" with PMJ that is totally unique. There's a little interlude in the middle that I guarantee you've never seen before.
I love that you did this!!! Haley is amazing and PMJ is so much fun with their reimagining of newer songs in that oldy way. Another artist to consider: LP. Her most famous is Lost On You. Among many other greats is her cover of Halo. (Black and white official live video) And keep on with PTX!!
Since you like LP and PTX you should check out this special cover of Lost On You that Scott did with his friend Mario laid over the Time instrumental by Hans Zimmer. Such a beautiful rendition! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_vaI7pOjc0M.html
Welcome brother. I saw here do a 20 song set live and her voice never cracked. She is so good. PMJ is a great band. Love your reactions. She and PMJ did a cover of Don't Speak by No Doubt. Anything Haley does is epic.
enjoyed this, loved the blues and power in her voice, she sounded like she was from a bygone era with her high and low notes. look forward to hearing more. great reaction mate

Welcome to the wonderful rabbit hole that is Post Modern Jukebox especially with Hayley Reinhardt. If you liked the sass then watch her cover of Seven Nation Army. There is no scientific instrument that can measure that amount of sass on earth.
also what is even more impressive is that this masterpiece was actually completed in one take with a tired voice and all but one of the postmodern jukebox covers are done live with no auto-tune, etc more info in links below: here is the history of "creep" one take from scott bradlee (the creator and pianist from postmodern jukebox): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MskKSH1Kf4U.html. here is additional history on haley and "creep" from #1 fan haleyTusk (even has a color pic of her from that day): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eVASTaIoTYw.html
Good Jessica Rabbit impersonation. I remember her from American Idol in 2011. She was known for her raspy vocals back then. (This is on RU-vid). This group does covers of contemporary songs in a 1940's style, but she's not the only singer. Also see Post Modern Jukebox "Dream On" with Morgan James. There's another well known cover of "Creep" by Sarah Geronimo from the Philippines. For another song with a vintage feel to it, see "Jeff Beck feat. Imelda May - Remember (Walking in the Sand) - RU-vid" (not the one from the Leno show).
First time I heard Haley was on American Idol, back when it was still good. She came in the top 10 that season. I don’t know how she has never made it. In my opinion, she is the most under appreciated vocalist of our time.
As far as I'm concerned, Haley is the best singer we've seen in the past century. Her voice is so smokey, so soulful. And mix it with PMJ's absolutely flawless arrangements and backing instrumentation, and it's a performance I could (and do) listen to all day. Now, another total star who I first discovered through PMJ is Morgan James. She and Haley do a rendition of the Beatles' "Dear Prudence" that is absolutely insane. As for followups? "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" is my absolutely favorite Haley song- she might as well own the song, because after she was done- it simply cannot be done better.
Haley Reinhart comes from a musical family. In the video below, recorded at Chess Records in Chicago during the pandemic, Haley's father accompanies her on acoustic guitar as she performs "Can't Find My Way Home" and an original song, "Don't Know How to Love You." This link starts 70 seconds in because she opens by speaking about her family and their musical background: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-omtsHEs2g0w.html
If you can see PMJ live, do it. Do it. The show is a unique thrill, and so fun. The crowd comes dressed in full 30s fabulousness and the performers are mesmerizing - including a professional flamenco-tap dancer.
One of my favourite covers! HR and Postmodern Jukebox are great, they use a range of vocalists and change the songs they cover to different styles, very inventive!
PMJ, the band she was fronting, has a huge catalog of covers done in jazz style... The song Royals with PMJ and Puddles Pity Party, you need to hear that one... You will have your toes curl
Pure perfection, like many other musicians on the PostmodernJukeBox channel. The spectacular Miche Braden Prince Purple Rain cover is something you should definitely see.
Finally FINALLY got to watch this react! My God she is amazing. Talented. Beautiful. Powerful! Lol. So glad you did this. She also does "Seven Nation Army" with PMJ. And you GOTTA check out her video of "Mad World" featuring a clown: Puddles the Pity Party. It'll blow your mind. Check it out!
The first me I heard her she performed the 1963 “I (Who Have Nothing)” by Ben E. King on American Idol. Lady Gaga was her coach. OMG, she blew us away! She was Hollywood glamour amazing. It was an amazing performance,...to the END! Please consider reacting to the HD version of that performance. You shall not be disappointed!
The context of that performance was Haley faced biased judging on the show all season compared to the other contestants. In the later rounds when they did two performances, two of the judges would criticize her first song for things like song choice to suggest she had given a bad performance when she had not. That night, after her first performance, judge Steven Tyler told Haley, "Don't believe them!" That caused Randy Jackson to repeat his criticism in a shout. That upset Haley emotionally. This was Top 4 night. They then brought all four contestants out to have Randy Jackson proclaimed the first round a tie between the other three. Haley was nearly moved to tears and turned her head as the camera zoomed in right before a commercial break. When they came back from break, Haley was up and gave the “I (Who Have Nothing)” performance. Later that night, Steven Tyler told Ryan Seacrest that the other judges throwing Haley under the bus pissed him off. He said she had delivered her first song like "the blue plate special." He then observed the best singers have character and noted, "You watch Reinhart up there, every bad comment she gets rolls right off. That's how good she is."
Also on PMJ - Allison Young Mr. Blue Sky and Jaclyn McSpadden singing Every Breath You Take with PMJ live in concert version. Haley also does a spectacular live version of her original song 'Lay It Down' with Casey Abrams on organ, I think.
The discovery is post modern jukebox, Scott Bradley who does the arrangement musical score employs the singers each of whom is awesome else they wouldn’t get the gig
Don't Speak by No Doubt is Haley's latest collaboration with Postmodern Jukebox. You'll be amazed by a more mature singer, with more tools under her belt.
Jeff Goldblum had her on one of the tracks from his album that came out a couple of years ago. They have this amazing chemistry on the song. Jeff is a major big band jazz fan. The two of them together match perfectly.

Morgan James has nothing whatsoever to do with Haley Reinhart or this Haley Reinhart video, yet you hijack it to lobby for Morgan James because she can't generate views and reaction videos nearly on the same level as Haley. Pathetic!
@@theblackdog2399 you have no moral authority to criticise others you're a hypocritical ANGELINA JORDAN TROLL haley and Morgan would not want a Troll as a fan.
Great reaction as always. Haley is hands down one of the most versatile and talented singers out there. As for recommendations: With Post Modern Jukebox: - Don't Speak (No Doubt Cover).
I always enjoy your reactions. This PMJ version featuring Haley is probably my favorite cover of Creep. I also love the covers done by Peter Barber and Brian Justin Crum.
The first me I heard her she performed the 1963 “I (Who Have Nothing)” by Ben E. King on American Idol. Lady Gaga was her coach. OMG, she blew us away! She was Hollywood glamour amazing. It was an absolutely perfect performance,...to the END! Please consider reacting to that performance. You shall not be disappointed!
YAY! You've found Haley and PMJ! Since you enjoyed this one I have 2 other suggestions, for another sultry vintage feel try her cover of Don't Speak" by No doubt. She also does a cute cover of "All About That Base" by Meagan Trainor with 2 other girls....Great video today! ~ Beth Ann
This is my favorite version of The Creep. When I first heard her 2 years ago, it brought back the oldies movies when I was younger. One of those black and white movies.
Haley was a 3rd place finisher on American Idol about ten years ago. I suspect one reason she did not win was she performed a Led Zeppelin lesser known track What is and What Should Never Be and most viewers probably never heard that song. More Post Modern Jukebox songs with Haley would be Black Hole Sun, Seven Nation Army, Oops I Did it Again, and All Bout That Bass with Morgan James and Ariana Savalas. Her American Idol performant of House of the Rising Sun is great. Also, check out her cover of Can’t Help Falling in Love for the Extra Gum tv commercial.
As an Angelina fan I have to admit I was blown away by this and it has become one of my favorites right up with all of my favorite Angelina performances. I want to see Angelina try this again when she is Haley's age at this time. Her two ad-hoc performances on Tic-Toc and in her music corner gave us a hint of where she might take it but that is pure speculation. What would she do with it 20 years from now. One can only imagine... It is the only performance on my top ten list that is not Angelina. That says it all for me.
Check out her duet on Dear Prudence with the next amazing singer you probably haven't heard yet, Morgan James. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wv_Xhzwvjyg.html
Mouth agape and eyes expressing disbelief seem to be the most appropriate reaction. I’ve watched this video hundreds of times and my reaction remains the same.
Hailey was on American Idol. It has a certain stigma about it, so some people will say "Oh, she was on THAT show." She didn't even win, but honestly, that was probably the best season of American Idol ever. All of the other song suggestions are great. You won't go wrong listening to any one of them. As for me, I like her singing "My Baby Don't Care" with Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park Jeff) and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
I first started really using RU-vid in April 2020 during quarantine. This was one of the first videos I watched and then found reaction videos. Haley is amazing. Great reaction thx 😎
What a great reaction! I remember how gobsmacked I was when I first heard this almost five years ago and I watch reactions to it to try to recapture that feeling I had. You did it! For your next stop on the Haley/PMJ journey, I'd recommend her cover of Seven Nation Army. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sB6HY8r983c.html After a 5-year hiatus from PMJ, she released a cover of No Doubt's Don't Speak which is definitely worth a listen! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Txi7QuO99kM.html And, since you mentioned Marilyn Monroe, she covered Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears in Marilyn Monroe style. The second half of that song is like vocal gymnastics. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g_HN50TLuaI.html Thanks for your enthusiastic and straight-up reactions!
Epic reaction bro. This is probably her best song. I hear it was a single shot recording. My number 2 favorite from her is "Lay it down". Might make you cry :)
My friend, welcome to Haley’s world☺️ She has various fabulous covers like: I can’t help falling in love with you, Don’t speak, etc. Also you must react to another beautiful singer called Morgan James, who has majestic covers of Maps, Dream On, etc.♥️♥️♥️
In a nutshell: PMJ featuring Haley Reinhhart - "Creep" Radiohead cover, "Seven Nation Army" The White Stripes cover, "Don't Speak" No Doubt cover, "All About That Bass" PMJ European Tour Version (Meghan Trainor cover), "Oops!... I Did It Again" Vintage Marilyn Monroe Style Britney Spears cover, and one more PMJ featuring Morgan James, (the blonde in All About That Bass), "Dream On" Aerosmith cover. Enjoy!
Not many people can take that iconic song and make it their own, but she managed to do just that. She is amazing and I have followed her since her Idol days.
In addition to Seven Nation Army, which has been mentioned before, another of my favorites is Black Hole Sun. Also, check out her cover of Elvis's Can't Help Falling in Love, both the commercial for chewing gum and also a single with Casey Abrams as her pianist.
Postmodern jukebox who do the arrangement for this song are incredible. They take pop/rock songs and completely change the feel of it, they do everything from 20's style to 60's style to tango style to James bond theme style. All of the singers they feature are incredible, one of my other favourites they work with is Mario Jose
Haley was on American Idol I believe (came in 3rd or 4th I think). She is amazing. You've done a bunch of Home Free and if you like someone that can change vocal tone, pitch, feel... Check out Tim Foust singing Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. For that heavy metal kick, I'd still suggest Slaughter to Prevail, Demolisher.
PMJ is a great new rabbit hole. I loved watching your expressions during this reaction. I kept saying "Breathe, dude, breathe", lol. My next recommendations for PMJ featuring Haley would be "All About That Bass" or "Black Hole Sun". The gentleman get overlooked alot, so check out "Stacy's Mom" and "I'm Not the Only One" featuring Casey Abrams. "Thriller" featuring Wayne Brady is alot of fun, too.
Haley was on one of the best seasons of American Idol, in my opinion. You should check out her duets with Casey Abrams, who was also on the same season of the show. They really click when performing together.
The band is Post Modern Jukebox (PMJ). If you want to be blown away again, check out PMJ with Morgan James doing an Aerosmith cover of Dream On. Then check out Haley & Morgan together doing All About that Bass.
PMJ knows how to pick their guest vocalists indeed haha. Beautiful. I listen to Post Modern Jukebox stuff quite often. Haley is definitely one of my favorite guests they've had. :) As far as vocalists who sound like more than one person in one, I suggest checking out Nick Pitera haha. One of my favorites from them is "The Prayer". I'm sure you'll be impressed.
I'd suggest, as others have, her cover of "Seven Nation Army". But I think you'd also like one of her lesser known covers; "Baby It's You" originally done by The Shirelles. (you'd probably like their version too)
None other than Britney Spears just walked down the aisle to Haley's version of "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You"! Haley is my favorite vocalist bar none.
Haley is the best complete female vocalist today. I defy anyone to find a singer today that can use every single vocal expression with control and effortlessly.
